First thing you need to know about LUST IN SPACE: it's actually THE EROTIC WITCH PART 4 (SPACEWITCH was its original title...but I guess it sounded too much like something from the deli). Second thing you need to know: this flick marks the return of Seduction Cinema alumn John Bacchus (who directed nearly all of the films that made the company famous) after a successful two-year stint making direct-to-DVD "urban" horror fare. And last: this is not a spoof of LOST IN SPACE.

In what is a direct follow-up to EROTIC WITCH PART 2, LUST IN SPACE finds doctor Khan (A.J. Khan), her mammoth-breasted assistant (Alexia Moore), and the now-cured Darian (Darian Caine) use a time-travelling spaceship to return to 1999 Bacchusville, NJ to seek out the source of the virus that caused the sexual fever in the first two movies (there is no witch, thus rendering the entire back story created in Terry West's WITCHBABE: EROTIC WITCH 3 completely void). Using her "bone-o-meter" ray gun to seek out sexual energy, Dr. Khan and her team search the town and find lots and lots of people doing the deed. Will they effectively stop the virus, or will they fall victim to its power?

LUST IN SPACE is made in the same spirit that all the original erotic spoofs from SC were: it's fun, it's cheesy, and it's full of random nudity & sex (some of the latter, ironically enough, includes footage from WITCHBABE). While great strides have been made of the years in terms of production value and content, there's a certain charm to the old way they made their movies. Sets thrown together with whatever was lying around, corny dialogue, and sink-or-swim comic performances that often yielded genuine moments of low-budget gold. It's a time-honored way of doing things that goes back to the days of Ed Wood and Dave Friedman. For longtime fans of Seduction Cinema, it's a treat just to see A.J., Darian, Zack Snygg and John Fedele acting a fool once more. You get a genuine sense that making this thing was a hell of a lot of fun for everyone involved. And yes, that includes Kimbo the ape!

While clearly aimed at those of us who have been supporting Seduction Cinema since its early days, LUST IN SPACE will no doubt also entertain those who enjoy a silly, cheap boobie movie now and again. And hey, Bacchusville, NJ is populated by inbred hicks and lesbians, a great combination that makes this picture endlessly watchable. Look for some of the stars in multiple roles...

DVD EXTRAS:
In addition to the usual trailer vaults and behind-the-scenes footage, an interview with EI Cinema chief Mike Raso is included to let everyone know how the project happened and to answer some of the questions that people who watch the movie are most definitely going to have (Raso, who has been appearing more often lately in commentaries and so forth, seems to genuinely dig what he's doing and has a great sense of humor about it). Also included is an interview with Alexia Moore and Jackie Stevens, followed by a cheesy sex-filled short film starring the two.
