john sr. (top left, the father of the director, obviously), christine (top right, mother of the director), and matt tranchina (middle picture, brother of the director), offered their home in suburban wayside, nj as the home of the delinos in Just Outside the Door. they basically let us take over the house for a long weekend to film all the scenes that take place in the delinos' home.

matt also appears very briefly in the film in a clip on TV, as wendy watches, disinterested... that clip comes from one of the short films (3 minutes) i worked on while at NYU called Intuition.

christine also contributed her white volvo station wagon, which appears in the film as the car that sharon drives.
