pr newswire's facility at harborside financial center (at exchange place) in jersey city, NJ was the location that we used to shoot wendy's office scenes during the filming of Just Outside the Door. the place where i worked as supervisor of operations (until i moved to dallas in april '99) provided a legitimate corporate office feel to the film, not to mention contributing the spectacular view of the NYC skyline.

ken dowell, PRN's vice president of media relations, graciously agreed to let us film in his office, which we transformed into wendy's office. the office decor you see in the film looks considerably different from what ken's office usually looks like. he thanked us for cleaning it up for him...

i also thank bill bricker, PRN's director of information services (and my boss), for his help in going through the "proper channels" to get approval from the executives. bill eventually ended up lending his voice to the film, as well, by providing the phone voice of officer devlin.
