Before we went to the twine ball, my friends and I were just pesky teenagers stuck together in the same HS... but then 4 of us decided August 27th, 1996 to make a trip to the twine ball.... then something magical happened... maybe we got some weird fugus from the ball... or maybe it makes us smarter, but it brought our special group of friends closer than ever...
Everyone else go to Valley Fair or Como Conservatory after prom night... not us, we all went to the twine ball... dare to be different...
August 27th (1997) we had nearly 6 car loads FULL of people... including one double door minivan... this trip got me thinking of it there was some sort of record for the largest caravan of travellings going a certain distance all to see the worlds largest ball of twine made by one man...
Last August 27th (1998) it was our 3rd annual trip... not as big as previous years due to lazy college students and poor planning, but it was still just as much fun as ever.
Next year we might break tradition and go to Twine Ball Days instead of our August 27th so that more lazy college people can make it. Gotta go to TBD atleast once in your life, right??
