I was looking down at some paperwork and I bumped--smack!--right into someone. I looked up and it was him! I was so flabbergasted that I apologized and he apologized and we walked on. Unbelievable. |
Description: | It was my last day
in NY and I wanted to see him before I leave. I was checking the playbill
and found out that the show named "A moon for the misbegotten"
(the play which I really wanted to see) was at Broadway.
I naturally panicked and went to buy a ticket ... heh ... unfortunately I've been told that he was not in NY so I thought that he might not be acting that night. I got my ticket and went there. All of a sudden I realized that everyone around me were dressed up elegantly and I was the only one wearing flip-flops, a skirt and a top with heart prints on it=). After the show, I noticed some people waiting at the backstage entrance so I went to check it out ... and *tataam* there he was. My whole body started shaking but I relaxed in a minute because I felt the confidence he gave me, it was really strange. As soon as he came next to me to give me an autograph, I spelled my name so quickly that he couldn't even understand..*smiles* I looked at him in the eyes and smiled ... they were so peaceful. After the autograph he stopped for a second and said "Canan?"... heh ... I'm sure it sounded kind of different since it's a foreign name. I told him that and he got pretty surprised. I'm sure he didn't know that he had fans in Turkey=). I wanted to ask him so many things but I didn't and he didn't have the time. | Description: | I wanted to go to
the Irish premiere of MITIM because I quite liked Leonardo DiCaprio at the
time. However, having queued outside the Savoy Cinema in Dublin for 3
hours (in the rain), it turned out that Leo would not be able to make it
to the event. I was a bit disappointed, but decided to hang about to see
the other three actors, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, and of course,
*Gabriel Byrne*. First, down the steps of the Gresham Hotel, walked John Malkovich,
then Jeremy Irons, who shook everyone's hands, and then about 10 mins
later, came Gabriel. What happened next was like a dream. I saw him walk
down the steps, he was wearing a black suit, with a dark blue shirt and
tie. His hair was pretty short at the time. I had never thought of him as
attractive before then, but when I saw him, I absolutely fell in love with
him. He is GORGEOUS!! He has beautiful blue eyes, and I was lucky enough
to be at the front of the barrier. I actually got to shake his hand!! He !
was really nice to his fans, shaking their hands and signing autographs, even though he was upset at the time- his best friend had died a few weeks before. I will never forget that night- it changed my life. Since then, I have become a HUGE Gabriel fan, and I hope to meet him again some day, when I can talk to him, and not just scream!!! I love him so much, and know that I am very lucky to have seen him in the flesh!! |
