Welcome to Sigil, the City of Doors.
Hello, for those who don't 'know' (which is not a lot of people considering how many people sign onto the web), Tokkon is one of my characters from the Planescape world.
Tokkon is a wemic well the lion on the shit is a basic wemic. It was drawn for me at GenCon '99 it is my character Tokkon but I forgot a minor detail :P He is part lion and part human, much like a centaur but minus the horse part (just add lion). Unfortunately he and some other party members are stuck in the Abyss.
We've done a lot since the Abyss, had a part in the Great Modron March in the planes, visited the realms of Toril, and Ooerth. Saved a lost Goddess (Waukeen) and so forth. It turns out that Jo-Ann is well missing now and I have no idea what happened to her. Tokkon is kinda miffed that she didn't thank him for dealing with the Death (near Death) Slod with a Vorporal Blade :P
I have other characters, such as Nayrb Eburg (a Mercykiller human Ranger) and Armstrong (a human wizard). Over the adventures, I (Bryan) have been writing down interesting quotes that I have heard.
Nayrub Eburg was directly involved in the Great Modron March. Helping those little living machines go about their monotnous lives walking amongst the planes in a gear-like shape. Apparently a pshycho wanted to become part modron, we destroyed his base but didn't stop the man himself :(
The first one is spoken by my character Nayrb. The quote goes as follows, "Torch, owl, oh crap."
Now, let me explain the quote. Our party were gathering information on a Bleaker's homebase (a group in Sigi who doesn't care about anying, the world is meaningless to them). Two people were ontop of the hil (Nayrb and Tsarkin, another Mercykiller) and the other two (two spellslingers (wizards.clerics effectively)) who were confronted by guards. The guards made them go into the hideout. The cleric with a lit torch, and a familiar (an owl) sent the bird to get help (people on the hill us). The owl landed on Nayrb's shoulder and had a worried look on its face. He looked around and saw the torch light moving. Then he said "Torch," looked at owl, "owl, oh crap." that is something you don't hear everyday from a Mercykiller.
Here are other quotes heard around the Planes.
"From backup to bait." Kailrin, a Godsmen
"You're scaring my owl." Jerika to Nayrb
"If you lost it, you can't have it." Mara
"Put it in Nayrb's Hole(a magical, portable hole)!" Various Party Members
"A horse is a horse, of course, of course, unless the horse of course happens to be a MAN!" a direct quote (though he denies it) from the DM of the Sterling Slash (a group that I'm involved in)
"Sorry guys, I have been playing with fire again." Kailrin to party members. After a certain keep lost its back end (somthing about fireball=structural damage).
"I tell everyone I saw a seven foot talking bug and no one believes me?" Ralsik (and yes there was one!)
"Cool, Cedric is going to whack outr!" Kalrin talking about a familiar after a visit to Pandemonium,
"407?" "Numbers are bad." (reffering to layers of the Abyss)
Other Quotes from the Real World
"Damnit I believe you!" Bryan Grube to David Ugorek
"Who's up for a lynching of the DM?" Jeff Sheehan to other campaign members
"You'll just have to pound each other's asses." a spectator of a NetRunner Game that I played in.
"I'm Jacking.........out that is!" Jeffery Sheehan from a series of NetRunner Games. Which coincedentially was home to the above quote as well. (but not from Jeff)
A random quote from Harry's Soul Essence game "I've tangoed with a battleship. I've tangoed with that F-14 jet. Hell, I've played with heavy duty Anti-Aircraft guns, and they couldn't touch me, pitty." quote taken from Wauk Egan a werebat for the badguys and how he describes his inate ability to dodge things while ini the air.
And the all favorite quote in that series! "I eat lampshades!" Touhy, chaos dragon.
P.S. Whoever sent me and/or drew the graphic ontop of this page, tell me ASAP.
