Dear Sir,
Thank you for letting me visit such a glorious site dedicated to the honour and grandeur of the Black Watch Regiment. Let me tell you, I am only nineteen years old, yet my family is very deep rooted into there Scottish heritage. Everybody excluding my parents, myself, and my siblings were born in Scotland. I am very interested in joining the Black Watch Regiment of Scotland. I feel like i should and have to serve my true country in some honorable way. I currently live in the United States along with everybody else in my family, who emigrated here after WWII. If you could provide me with any recruiting information regarding the Black Watch Regiment, I would greatly appreciate it. I know there must be some altercations with me being a non Scottish resident, nor a resident of the United Kingdom, but I have applied for dual citizenship. I am certain there must be other rules and regulations that i would have to obide by in order to serve under the Black Watch regiment. I am and ready and willing to do so. Thank you very much sir.

A wonderful site! One that I am proud to have visited. I am married to a scot and we owned a small Scottish Gift Shop, named "Queen of Scots" some years back and feel like we have come home while listening to these sites with pipes.
Do you know where I may obtain tapes and cd's from the "San Franscisco Police Pipe & Drum Corp"? We played it constantly via recorder on the front porch of our shop, until two women stole the tape and recorder. (Probably was someone who worked around us
that HATED the bagpipes~LOL) We have been looking ever since. It was bought at the Texas games at Salada, and no one in S A California even knows of a band by that name. Any clue? Just keep it in mind if your ever at a game and tapes are available. C
ngratulations on your awards. Gigi

Your site is very well done and honors a superb fighting outfit. My greatuncle Roderick served in the Black Watch during WWI. My dad honored me by giving me his name for my middle name. I really enjoyed the pipes!

I was looking for information on the person whose quote is used in your website, Pastor Martin Niemoller. One of my exstudents asked what I knew of him and this was the only reference I found today.
Thanks

Hi!
My great great great grandfather Benjamin Rigg was a young soldier with the Black Watch Regiment, 42nd Highlanders and fought in the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800's in Spain and Portugal. He was injured in several battles but lived to emigrate to Cana
a....and obviously raise a family.

What a wonderful site! Enjoyed it throoughly, an important lesson in history. We must never forget! Visit my url if you get a chance. It's the accounting of my Father's bombing mission over Germany, his capture, imprisonment and forced Death March across
ermany. He won the DFM from King George V1. It's called A Raid on Munich.

Great site, My father was in the Scottish Black Watch during WW2 so I have an interest in the unit and I am sure the branch in Canada is just as fearsome as that in Scotland.my father told me the germans called them "The mad Women from Hell"
I think that covers all Highlanders.

John

Great site Mike! I think that more poeple should visit it. The history of the Black Watch is sadly absent from most education programs. I will be sure to pass on your address to as many people as possible! Take Care...see you at What About Bob's.
