Today, i saw Leonardo DiCaprio, in the flesh, with my own eyes. Hee! Cheesy as it may sound it was so exciting. I went to the LA Titanic Premire. Well, i was one of the people behind a baracade screaming at the rich and famous. This premire was so huge.

I got to the theater about 2 hours before the scheduled arrivals. They SHUT DOWN Hollywood Blvd! Omigod. In front of the theater, taking three hours, they put up huge billboards that spelled out Titanic. Although, most of the Day it only spelled out Anic.

There was a massive long long red carpet. Set up on the carpet were baracades and each tiny section had the name of a press thing or somthing (EW, E!, Channel 9 Australia..etc.) This walk was like, the whole block. There were two platforms. One fore E! and one for ET. I got there at around one, and i was shocked. Other than random tourists, there were no more than 20 people waiting. So we took our place on the curb, fairly close to the end of the carpet. Slowly more people showed up, but not NEARLY as many as i thought. It was almost sad. The barracades were pushed to the divider in the street, so we were rougly 20-30 feet from the carpet. heh. After a stampeed of leo fans rushing towards it, i got right in front, which was where i was originally anyhow. Time was near. Plants were set ont he carpet, the valet boys were all set up..there were HORDES of press. It was so exciting.

My friend Val and i are two star struck girls. this was a dream come true. The first celeb arrives..Billy Zane! He takes forEVER to get across the carpet. Then all of a sudden, there's Linda Hamilton. I love her. Out of the 40-50 celebs that we saw, she is the ONLY one that walked out to us. She made her way up the barracade and said hi to us. She was right in front of me! I hope my pictgures came out. heh. Then all of a sudden. It was packed on the carpet. It was awful. We couldnt tell who was who. It was tons of "who's that?" "ohmy god is that___!?!?" "Where's leo??" it got psycho. In the midst of it all....a cute spiky blonde head appeared...

And there he was. AT the end of the carpet. The person i thought i would never lay eyes on. Cute, short Leo. With spiky short hair with a funky curl in the front, in a black suit and i think a blue shirt. WAYYYYYY down on the first platform we saw him give his interview..and i was lucky. I was in a really cool down to earth, but screaming section. About ten or so of us involuntarily began screaming "LEO!" and waving like mad. He looked RIGHT over to our section, gave us the CUTEST grin and waved. Oh yeah, when he first arrived, he walked out into the street a little bit and posed. Pooh. I was at the end. So anyhow he made his way up, talking TO EVERY reporter. Took forever. When i could see through the crowd i could see his beautiful profile and ear. The left side. Unfortunatley there were MASSIVE ammounts of lights, facing us, so the few pictures i took, im sure didn't come out. So we would see more famous people, get excited and then forget and go "Where's leo now?" As he got closer, we were able to get him to wave, heh, towards US two more times. The cutest thing was when he approached the old woman from titanic and hugged her. It was so adorable. He also hugged Celine Dion. Grr. So he get's to the E! platform, and we, again, start screaming at him. him and Melissa Rivers look over to us, and he gives us that adorable grin, and waves again! Once again, looking out our little ten person section. Hee! IT was so amazing. We were really in hopes of him walking to the end of the capet and posing, but it didn't happen. THEN he was directly across from me. And talking to tons of people. And this time, he was facing us. YAY! HE stood facing us for nearly five minutes talking to people and posing for pictures. I could see all of his expressions. This is where the last wave came in. But this last wave was a "Jesus leave me alone already, im sorry but go away" wave. It was kinda of a smack. But still exciting. And then...he was gone...it was really dissapointing. I doubt any of my pictures came out, and i felt that he shafted the fans a little. But i was happy to get the waves out of him.

Let's talk about how star studded this one. Let me see, Arnold S., Sylvester Stalone, Rod Stewart, Ashley Judd, Dustin Hoffman, Mel Gibson, Linda, a bunch of people who's names escaped us..and random people like Gabby Hoffman, keri strugg, and Michelle Kwan. I know im leaving out tons. Oh yeah, and there was Celine Dion. It was weird to see her, and hear her singing over the PA at the same time. Celine and Lea thompson were very enthusiastic wavers towards the crowd. Pretty much everyone was friendly towards us but Rod Stewart.

Oh yeah, i dont know if we missed her, or if she didn't show up. But no one saw Kate Winslet. Hmm...Since i was in the front they taped a titanic poster under me, so i was able to fight for it and get it, all ripped up. heh. I was put on camera soooooo many times. They seemed to like my poster to take shots of. If anyone has any footage from this, please let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the E! or ET airings..please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know im forgetting some, but it's late and im sleepy. Going to a taping of loveline tomorrow..and hoping it's by random chance...leo.
