Many of you have no doubt heard about "Meet Joe Black". A film about
death(Brad Pitt)who descends to earth to live life like a human, and tour the place. So he
meets up with a man(Anthony Hopkins)and decides he will be the guide. A great film,
but I still can't get into my head why they made this film over three hours.
There was absolutely no reason for this. The movie would have been great without
the long running time. However, the film is still very good within itself. Brad
Pitt does a fine job of portraying Death, while Anthony Hopkins is superb in
his role. The music was fine tuned, but(at least in the theater I was in)hurt my
ears toward the end. I don't doubt seeing an Academy Award in the path of this
powerful, humorous, and romantic film. Overall a well done film, but if you do
see it, bring a couch or lawn chair for the isle.
