GODZILLA
3 Out Of 10 Stars
The film was overall, just plain dumb. It's the kind of movie where you
think it's so-so while you're there, but in the end, it really wasn't worth the money
you paid. The main character was played by Matthew Broderick, and his acting
was very close to terrible during the whole film. He just wasn't fit for the
role. Other characters in the film, on the other hand, did quite well. The music
was your regular monster movie music, nothing that great. The special effects
were very well done. Godzilla in all his glory was as realistic and deadly
as ever. The major downfall of this film, is how it used aspects from other films.
For example, Godzilla runs and moves very much like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park.
And the Godzilla babies look a lot like Raptors also from Jurassic Park. The eggs
in which the babies hatch look like the eggs in the Alien films. This movie
definitely needed more original work. Overall an okay monster movie with
relatively no plot, but worth seeing just for fun, and worth seeing only once at a matinee.
