RONIN
8 Out Of 10 Stars
When a load of great actors come together into one film, either you
think it will stink because of recent failed films such as "Mars Attacks" or you
will give the film a chance. In this case, Ronin delivers in full force as
Robert DeNiro leads a very talented cast in this action/drama. If you like
a lot of car chasing, along with some gun fire, then you can't miss this. The
car chasing scenes were done with almost perfection, as the director gives you
a feel of being inside the speeding cars, and almost every other possible angle
you can get from a car chase. The actors were not only good, but cast well into
parts that only they could carry out. Jean Reno, (Mission Impossible, Godzilla)
gave a stunning performance, and the same goes with Jonathon Pryce (Tomorrow Never
Dies), Sean Bean(Patriot Games, Goldeneye), Stellan Skarsgard(Amistad, Good Will Hunting)
and the great actress Natascha McElhone(Truman Show, Devils Own). But of course,
in the end, Robert DeNiro steals the show with his outstanding performance throughout
the entire film. The music was fast paced when needed (Car chases) and tuned down
a bit when needed as well. The only downfall of this film is the plot in itself.
It can be very hard to follow at times. It contains many twists, and the audience
has to pay close attention to what's going on so it can sink in.
A great movie experience, Ronin is a must see!
