This film is a split between good and bad. Let's start with the good
first shall we. The performances of Kurt Russel and the rest of the cast were
quite well done, all characters were cast accordingly. The music was fast paced
for a fast paced film, along with a beautiful song somewhere in between where
Kurt Russel tries to be more human. Now let's get with the bad parts. Some great
characters in the film are killed off, and really shouldn't be, so naturally,
I was disappointed. We don't get to know the characters enough to care about them.
The plot was a little shabby, but got to the point, and no real thinking is needed
for the audience. So basically, this movie is pretty good, but lacks enough to
make it a classic. Full of action, and a lot of fun, Soldier packs a punch, just
make sure you go to the matinee.
