TITANIC
8.5 Out Of 10 Stars
Obviously, anyone who has seen this film knows that it is one of
the greatest movies ever to hit the silver screen. First seeing this movie,
I was mezmerized by the glory and awe of the Titanic, and the terrible
tragedy that followed. Director James Cameron outdid himself in making
this film. The directing and cinematography were outstanding. Unique camera
work was done, from the underwater scenes, to the overhead shots of the
Titanic. The music, done by James Horner, composer of such films including
"Glory"(1989) "Patriot Games"(1992) "Clear and Present Danger"(1994) and
many more, was simply fantastic. The themes used for
every part of the movie were nothing less than perfect. The acting done
by Leonardo Dicaprio was just okay in my opinion. He didn't give the strong
performance that was needed for his role. The same is true with Kate Winslet,
her role also needed much more strength. The supporting cast did some
excellent acting throughout the entire film. The special effects (as you all know)
were downright awesome. Every penny of that $200 million dollar budget was
well spent. Great film!!
