Winter Quarter - Dead Week

Dead Week Stats

3/14/03

Well, I know I wasn't more on the ball with continuing this 'website diary-thingie;' so sue me! You try taking Info Hell and J203 in the same quarter and see how many more gray hairs you have by finals week. Anyway, now that classes are done and I can sleep again, here are some highlights, memorable moments and some to forget...

# of credit hours: 16
Classes this term: Writing for the Media (J203), Info Hell (J202, Information Gathering), German 202, History of the Motion Picture (Silent Film to WWII era)
Most played album(s): The Guess Who - American Woman, my Winamp playlist (up to 400), The Essential Janis Joplin
Most played song(s): Jefferson Airplane - Saturday Afternoon (Won't You Try) (Live at Woodstock), anything by The Guess Who, Big Brother & the Holding Co. - Farewell Song (Live at Winterland), Garbage - Stupid Girl, Amy Studt - Just a Little Girl, U2 - Mysterious Ways, Pink Floyd - Us and Them, Sam Kinnison - Are You Lonesome Tonight (Live on The Tonight Show), The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
Downloads: Diet Kaza, rare Guess Who songs (early stuff), Adobe updates
Videos: Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice (the one with Christopher Walken struttin' his stuff), The Rolling Stones - Angie
Highlights of the quarter: Three consecutive Best News Headline Awards, met a nice guy whom I like and now we're just friends (but things are cool--it's weird; it must be because he's a writer), 100 percent on my past-tense German quiz, I've lost weight and can wear clothes that didn't fit when I moved here, my job - I love my job as a copy editor, seeing "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" on the big screen at the Bijou
Students on campus: They're still weird, but so am I, so who cares?!
Favorite Hangouts: EMU (outside the ballroom, just downstairs from the Emerald), Knight Library, lounge in Allen Hall
Places I go the most (besides school): work, my parents' house, Ray's Food Place in Veneta, Fred Meyer, Suncoast, The Bon (Capitol Mall), Florence
On most days, you'll find me: on campus, decked out in my boot-cut Tommy Hilfigers and Sketchers (and a top of course, weather-appropriate); jammin' to my tunes (usually hippie music); writing, reading the Emerald (either supporting my co-workers or looking for mistakes), or catching up on homework.
At home: you're most likely to fine me decked out in my handmade pjs and Victoria's Secret slippers; jammin' to Winamp; cleaning, cooking (followed by cleaning), writing, reading the Emerald (supporting co-workers or looking for mistakes) or the Register-Guard (definitely looking for mistakes), or catching up on homework.
