Chapter Eleven, lotta important stuff in here! Lucifess and Demonita go bye-bye, Casha says who she is, OOPS! Not supposed to say yet! ;) Read it for yourself!
And lastly, Chapter Twelve! It's the final part of the story, the loose ends are tied up, yadda, yadda, yadda... If you're wondering about the very, very end of Chapter Eleven, ya gotta read this! ;) K?
At long last! The much-anticipated sequel to Glorified Waterspouts! *grinz* This novel is, as you might have guessed, about a quest. And not just ANY quest mind you, but a TIME quest! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! (And here you get to say "No duh!!!" ;) ) It's more about Banshea than anyone else, at the moment... It's taking a long time to write, in part because of homework and that kind of thing, and also partly because of the research that's involved. Also, it would be a goo idea if I could pick a section to write and keep writing it until it's finished. And it would be even better if I could decide what order things are going in and what's happening in each. However, I DO have the prologue for all a' yas! It explains the whole story, which happens to be rather helpful. What else? Oh, yeah! The story, instead of being written in chapters that more or less follow one another, Time Quest is more like a series of short stories, kinda thing... ;) Yeah... So, Here:
Oh, and for anyone who cares, I've got the story kinda mapped out for a ways, but the order and number of the parts is still anyone's guess.
Banshea=Peanut Butter/Sita/ME!/etc./etc...

Casha=Lipgloss/Sunflower
Lilah=Sandy/Aliiiiiiiiiiisha/Backwards Girl/Starfish/Storm/Banshee/Ali (but DOESN'T she look like a starfish? *grinz evilly* She's nice, I'm letting her character have good hair days... ;) )

Ghy=Retro/Seven/Retters (NOT the Miniclan Retters)
Mirr=Miri/Of/Midge
Dartainia=Pinto/Pinto Bean

(My HTML is not the best, but I get by)
Now here's another section on the characters. Many of the charaters have magical powers. This is a section that a lot of you may need to read because it saves you a lot of thinking, I think. Here is my little list of the characters and their magical specialties and/or relations and/or important things that you need to know about them.
Banshea has two sisters. They are Shaunsha and Mikaia. She posesses the Phoenix Gate and her other specialty in magic is with her blue fire. She has been know to be able to predict the future. This talen sometimes comes in the form of dreams, visions, or sometimes just gut feelings. She also seems to have a deep insight into what is going on around her, but after her accident she seems to lose all ESP. By-the-by, the Banshea in the stories, althogh supposedly based on me, is not very much like me IRL. ('Sept for the height difference between me/her and ol' Chibichibi/Shaunsha!!! :P ;) ) On the other hand, other characters like Mikaia are much, much more true to life!
Shaunsha has two sisters, Banshea and Mikaia. She has a talent for music, and uses her abilities for magic a lot of the time. She has the ability to make things invisible and to ceate energy feilds, in addition to scorcery in general. if the reader of this is familiar with a particular comic book heroine, let me assure you that any relation is completely coincidental. I hadn't even heard of her until a bunch of the chapters were already written, I swear!
Mikaia's sisters are Banshea and Shaunsha. She has the power to control the wind. This is very handy for gliding. She's the strongest of the three, and trained in various martial arts. While Banshea seems to focus on incantations, and Shaunsha on musical spells, Mikaia has a tendancy to use written charms, like runes or (if you're a Sailor Moon fan) Raye's "evil go away" thingies. :) Her favorite food is bread, straight out of the package, not toasted, nothing on it, just bread.
Lucifess has one sister, Demonita, and was part of Banshea's clan. She is part of a generation that partly overlaps Banshea's. In their clan they are considered to be cousins, though in other clans they may have a different term for this relationship. Lucifess has power over lava flows and other volcanic activity. She and Demonita were banished from the clan, however, after they got a little too rambunctious (i.e., the Loma Prieta earthquake in '88 or '89, I don't remember :P ).
Demonita is Lucifess's only sister. She has the power over water in liquid state only. She is also Banshea's cousin. As I mentioned, she and her sister were banished after a little party that went awry... *grinz* BTW, ever wonder why the Russian River floods so much? ;)
Casha is a mysterious gargoyle who keeps showing up to save Banshea and her sisters from certain death. She has power over ice, but that's about all anyone really knows about her until chapter seven. Read the story.
Lilah is a troublemaking hatchling who appeared in Goliath's castle one night and got on everyone's nerves almost instantly. She posesses the Phoenix Gate and also has a very loud scream that is probably magical. She talks constantly to someone named Shaunie. Read the story, already!!! ;)
Miyama is an gargoyle who lives in the future. She never talks and spends most of her time staring into space. She never runs out of energy, and can do interesting things with this power like transfer it to others and hit various people with energy blasts. Her cousin is Ghy. And did I mention that she never talks? NEVER. And she hardly ever seems to be paying attention to anything. But you'd be surprized at what she catches, then again, she never talks, so it's kinda hard to figure out what she knows about. And trust me, you don't wanna know what actually does go on in her head... Once, in a telepathic link, she sent the thought: "I wonder what it would be like to be a pane of glass in a window."
Ghy also lives in the future. She has a weak stomach and does all she can to avoid the actual battles, but she'll show up afterwards to help out. Her magical power is the art of healing, and her only known relation is that of her cousin Miyama. Her personality can be classified as "normal", which is more than I can say for a lot of these gargoyles... ;) Hehe...
Mirr is from the past. She is a hippie living in Oakland and, scarily enough, is supposed to be Banshea's babysitter when Ban is a hatchling. She has "flower power," meaning that she has a talent for controlling the growth of plants. She has a habit of ditching her babysitting to go to some cafe in Berkley, which happens to have a lot to do with the plot or something (PLOT??? This thing has a PLOT???? ;) ), and for the record, that isn't the case IRL...
Dartainia is a hippie, too. I can't really think of what else I can say about her. She doesn't have much going on for her in Glorified Waterspouts, but FYI she's destined to reappear in Time Quest. (For Carol, who asked about this: For a very SHORT time, k? ;) )
Sari is a Scandinavian gargoyle that Banshea winds up taking to the twentieth century where she discovers Hamilton plaid. She has one sister: her twin Sairi. They hatched from a long-lost egg that a mason mistook for a rock. Sari worships Mel Brooks. She isn't in Glorified Waterspouts, but is in a good deal of Time Quest.
Sairi is, as you may have guessed, NOT Sari. Sairi is Sari's twin. Whilst Sari is devoted to Mel Brooks, Sairi worships in the Church of Spam. Like Sari, Sairi is from Scandinavia and was introduced to the twentieth century by Banshea at the insistance of their many-times great-grandmother. If I tell you any more about their grandmother, there won't be any point in reading the story. Sorry! ;)
Rindama was left to watch the rookery, but ran off instead. She knew about the clan's fate, but ultimately was responsible for it even as she tried to prevent it. Rindama wasn't really into the sixties, and that's why she might have been able to save the clan, that is if she had decided to stick around. Her character is very different from the person she is supposed to have been based on, mostly because if this weren't the case, she would say virtually nothing but "I don't get it," "What?" and "I like cheese. Do you have any cheese? I want to eat some cheese. Do you have any cheese? I really like cheese."
Kate is a human-fae hybrid who, like many hybrids, had no idea of her heritage until she was nearly an adult. She worked as a jockey in the hopes of being able to pay for veterinary school with any winnings. She loves animals, but someone had to point out that her ability to understand the needs of animals was somewhat abnormal for a human. With some help,she has learned to expand her natural talents, although she is nowhere near the level of any skilled fae.
Yalie is a full-blooded fae, and can do virtually anything. She owns a large stockholding in McDonalds. It made her a huge fortune, most of which was spent on white bread (less iron in it) and Big Macs. She ALWAYS has her bread with her, and if someone annoys her, she hits them over the head with a baguette. She isn't part of the story yet, but I'm working on it. I may even re-work Glorified Waterspouts so she's in it, but probably not. Three years on the novel is enough. I'm doing the sequel now. ;)
