Analyze Movies With Matrix Parallels
Warning: You probably won't care for this section of my site unless you agree with the follow statements.
1. You love The Matrix.
2. You love watching movies.
3. You love looking at movies from different and unusual angles.
4. You love doing academic type of things for your own personal benefit or to enrich your schooling.
Dew's definition of Movies-With-Matrix Parallels (MWMP): They are movies that have at least one connection or parallel to the movie, The Matrix. They share something in terms of style, plot point, characters, theme, characterizations, story, film making, symbolism, emotional impact, genre, etc that is similar or comparable in some way to The Matrix movie experience.
Dew's Movies-With-Matrix-Parallels List
In addition to the actual movie titles, this page includes a breakdown of the many types of parallels that I look at when determining what movies to include on the list and the assignment sheets.
Dew's Movie Assignment Guides
In this section I have taken movies from my Movies-With-Matrix-Parallels List (link is above) and provided groups of questions that are mainly aimed at exploring these movies' Matrix parallels. These questions are a great way for anyone to analyze these movies "matrix-style" plus students and teachers may find these questions useful for term papers or to generate discussions. To view the questions for a particular movie, scroll down and click on the page that includes the movie you are interested in.
(BTW, I've had requests for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Unbreakable" movie guides, so I'll add them in the near future.)
