I am confused. I just found an old news at "cybersleaze-news" 11 Nov 97:
LIV TYLER'S ROMANCE WASN'T TO DIE FOR: STEALING BEAUTY star LIV TYLER has split from
boyfriend JOAQUIN PHOENIX - but she's not resting on her laurels. Just weeks after cooling
her romance with the TO DIE FOR actor, Tyler has moved on to JAKE SCOTT - the son of film
director TONY SCOTT. Tyler is being directed by young Jake in new movie PLUNKET AND
McCLEAN.
Did they break up???? In November??? But in some "Armageddon"- Interviews she is
still talking about "my boyfriend Joaquin".IF YOU KNOW ANY DETAILS,

JOAQUIN PHOENIX SPEAKS OUT OVER HIS BROTHER'S DEATH: Up-and-coming Hollywood
heartthrob JOAQUIN PHOENIX has spoken out about the last few hours he spent with his late
brother RIVER. The TO DIE FOR star was one of the last people to see his STAND BY ME
sibling alive when their night out together at the VIPER ROOM in Los Angeles ended in
tragedy. Joaquin claims River's tragic drug-related death was blown entirely out of all
proportion by the press. The 23-year-old says, "I've heard
stuff about how the night River died, he was out partying and all that, it is so untrue.
That night we were together. He was just playing guitar. He wanted to show me a new song.
River wanted to go home. I was the one who wanted to go out and he was just making sure to
take care of me." Joaquin still thinks about his brother and remembers how
they had planned their future. He recalls, "River and I would
talk about getting old, being in our 50s together, how it'd probably take us that long to
get to work together. There was something gorgeous about us being old together. River will
be missed - period. I mean now, more than ever I wish I could talk to him."

How Joaquin and Vince Vaughn ended up in two movies together: It wasn't just a casting
oversight. While doing Pigeons, Vaughn told Phoenix about the Paradise script and urged
him to check it out. "The film's a character piece, and I think Joaquin is great. I
was excited that he would play the part; it put my mind at ease."

A short description what "clay pigeons" is about:
Joaquin Phoenix is Clay, a gas station attendant in Mercer, Montana. When his best friend
Earl takes the news badly that he has been sleeping with Earl's wife (Georgina Cates),
Earl kills himself and makes it look like Clay killed him. Clay disposes of the body and
tries to put the episode behind him. He meets and befriends a cowboy named Lester (Vince
Vaughn). An FBI agent (Janeane Garofalo) begins to ask questions.

Just an old quote of Liv Tyler:
"I'm in love with Joaquin and it's the first time I'm actually in love. I had no
idea what the emotion meant until the time I first saw Joaquin. It was love at first
sight."

That`s what I did find in July`s EMPIRE magazine:
Joaquin Phoenix is to change his name yet again. "From now on I will be called
Dave," he told an empty press conference.
That`s a joke, isn`t it? Dave Phoenix ??? Why should he do this?

Well, it`s Armageddon-time, as you probably know! So Liv Tyler is in almost every
magazine. I read an interview with her in which she says:
"My boyfriend knows Casey Affleck (Joaquin knows him from "To Die
For"), and so I get to know Ben Affleck (Casey`s big brother, and Liv`s love interest
in Armageddon). He is really funny and a real man! We had much fun during making the
movie."
Somewhere else I read that there is a group of young actors who are good friends: Ben and
Casey Affleck, Ben`s buddie Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey and our Joaquin Phoenix. Quite
a nice group, don`t you think so? (I am also a big fan of Ben "Good Will
Hunting" Affleck!!!! Touching movie, isn`t it?)
Okay, let`s go on: Liv also said: "Sure I would like to make a new movie with
Joaquin, but first we have to find a suitable script."

that I did find in some rumor-call of "8 MM":
According to this scooper's cousin who works for someone close to Joaquin Phoenix,
this film will almost definately be rated NC-17 due to the many photos of perverse sex
acts. Additionally, the scooper reports that there may be a explicit sex scene with
Phoenix's character. Although a body double was used for the filming of this particular
scene, the rumors are the act it depicits wasn't faked at the time. "Phoenix is
extremely unhappy with this scene and is threatening a lawsuit if the studio does not cut
it," the scooper concludes with.
