Chapter 2
In her room sitting on her bed, Rose was just thinking about the same thing.
"I think that I'm falling in love with him" she said to herself, " Oh god, what am I gonna wear tonight?"
She went straight to closet and looked at what she was going to wear.
"Hmmm...no not this old one...this red one?...no definitely not casual...come on Rose, think!...ah this is perfect!"
She chose a blue dress and a black button Gap sweater to wear together. She took a shower and then got ready to meet Peter at the coffee shop at 7:00.
She took one last look at herself in the mirror, went to her door to exit her dorm and then walked across the campus towards the coffee shop. She then glanced at her watch, it said 6:55 p.m.
Meanwhile, Peter was standing infront of the coffee shop waiting for Rose. He too, went to his dorm room to change his clothes from his rugby practice and got ready for his date.
He kept on pacing back and forth to calm down his nervousness.
"Come on Peter, get with it! It's only just a date...yes just a date but with someone I'm falling in love with, whom I haven't seen in years", he said to himself, "I hope she won't be late".
Rose got to the coffee shop just in time.
"Peter!", she called out to him.
"Rose, you made it".
They looked at each other for a minute or two. Rose felt like she was about to melt in his presence. Her heartbeat kept going fast. Peter couldn't help but just stare at her beautiful face. He then got a hold on himself.
"Are ready to go?", he asked.
"I'm all set", she told him,"What movie are we seeing tonight?"
"How about Titanic?", he said, "It's playing at the Student Centre".
"I love that movie".
They started walking to the Student Centre. When they got there, it wasn't that crowded but they were able to find a couch to sit on and watch the movie. They sat down.
"Looks like it's empty here Peter", Rose said.
"I know".
Rose kept glancing at Peter. She couldn't help but notice how gorgeous he was. Peter was looking at her too. "Man, should I kiss her?", Peter thought to himself. "Is he going to kiss me?", Rose thought.
Things started to heat up between the two of them when people started showing up for the movie.
"Uh, Rose?"
"Yes?"
"Is it okay if I...", Peter said nervously
"If you what?" Rose asked.
Peter looked around to see if anyone would notice them kissing. "Maybe once the movie starts, then I'll kiss her then", he thought.
"Never mind, are you thirsty?"
"Maybe you could get me a Coke if you don't mind", she said
"I'll be right back", Peter told her.
He got up and went to the vending machine to get two cokes. Over at the couch, Rose was wondering what the matter was with him.
"Is he nervous?", Rose thought, "I thought that he was going to kiss me".
Peter came back, "Here's your coke Rose".
Rose then took it from his hand. Peter took her hand and held it in his. He looked into her face then passionately kissed her lips. Rose's eyes were closed when his lips touched hers. The movie was about to start when their kiss was over.
"Thanks, Peter", she whispered with a dreamy look in her eyes.
He smiled back at her.
Through out the entire movie Peter had his arm around Rose's shoulders. They grew comfortable with each other, cuddling on the couch. As soon as the movie was over, they went outside for a walk.
"Wasn't the movie great?", Rose said.
"Yeah, especially those two Jack and Rose" he said, "Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure", Rose told him," What is it"
Peter explained, " You see Rose, after just seeing you earlier today and being with you right now...I think that I'm starting to fall in love with you".
Rose was surprised," You're in love with me?"
"I know it's been long since we've seen eachother when we were little. But I'd like the chance to see you again. What I mean is if you'll be my girlfriend", he said.
" My answer is yes Peter, I'd love to be your girlfriend", Rose told him, " I love you too, if you must know".
"I love you too, Rose", he smiled at her, "I'll never stop loving you".
He then pulled her close and sealed their new found love with a kiss.
