* The feelers, are a three piece band from Christchurch, New Zealand, James Reid on guitair and vocals, Hamish Gee on drums and Matt Thomas on bass. They first gained recognition by winning the 1994 South Island battle of the bands. They have recently been signed by record company Warner, and released their first single, Pressure Man in 1997. Their second single, Supersystem was released in '98 and their debut album Supersystem, also released in '98, reached number one, and double platinum in New Zealand.  Their most reasent single was 'Pull the Strings'/ 'Friend'. In the New Zealand Music Awards, The feelers won 5 awards including best songwriter, James for Venus, best band, and best album. They are currently recording their second album.
