Well, it was another
painfully boring night in Hamilton, but some thing rare and unusual was
happening.... music. LIVE music had come to our sleepy little cow town,
and it just happened to be the fantastic band, the feelers! (oh and the
dead flowers *s*) The guys were playing at The Fat Ladies Arms, a popular
bar in the CBD, and being 19, things were looking a bit dodgy but my fabulous
fake ID worked a treat and in we went! The Feelers were due to play
about 10.15pm, and after hanging around and taste testing a berry/vodka/guarana
drink (?!), we made our way to the stage and somehow managed to get in
the front row, which was definately pretty cool... Lets see... It was a
fantastic concert. Wow. As soon as the feelers started playing, the crowd
just totally went nuts! The stage was only about..hmmmm..
20cm higher than the
floor? something like that, and no barrier to keep the moshers back, and
the equipment safe! My friend Troy and I felt like we were holding the
whole crowd back for most of the time! I thought the crowd was pretty fantastic,
crowd surfers and stuff:-), but there was this one really pissed guy who
kept trying to wave his bottle in James's face, touching his mike and stuff,
he ended up getting escorted out! ANYway.. The guys played for about an
hour, the set list included:
Space Cadet
Supersystem
Pressure Man
Satelite
The Leaving
Albino
Venus
Noticible moments, little
titbits.......... the guys started playing a disco (?!) like tune, and
James started dancing like John Travolta in Saturday Night Live *s*...
when they played Supersystem, the crowd went absolutely nuts and we nearly
ended up on top of their extra guitairist..... (Tim?).... James was wearing
a Garbage 2.0 shirt...
Well, thats it! my
second feelers experience, and definately not my last!:-)
