Summary
The Watchers think MacLeod was responsible for the
massacre at Joe's execution, so they begin hunting him. Methos, who tends
to Joe's wounds, tries to convince MacLeod and Joe to leave town. MacLeod
refuses, choosing instead to hunt for the real killer. He finds his old
friend Jacob, who began killing Watchers after Horton killed his wife.
Meanwhile, Joe and Methos break into Watcher headquarters, and Joe makes a
deal for MacLeod's life, saying he'll deliver the real killer. So when
MacLeod convinces Jacob to meet with Joe, Joe betrays him to the Watchers,
who take Jacob's head. MacLeod goes after the head Watcher for revenge,
but Joe convinces him that the cycle of hatred has to end. MacLeod walks
away.
Quotes
Joe: "Where did you say you studied medicine?"
Methos: "Heidelberg, 1453."
Joe: "Did you major in medicine or dueling?"
Methos: "Both."
Methos: "The time's come for you two to start a new life
somewhere. Bora Bora is very nice this time of year."
Methos: "Look at that. Watchers, afraid they're going to be
killed by immortals, holed up in a funeral home. Is it just me, or there
some cosmic irony in that?"
Methos: "I'm five thousand years old. I don't know who I am
anymore."
