My Two Sons

It was Emmy day in New York, and GH's Anthony Geary and Jonathan Jackson were chatting with a few reporters at photographer Jim Warren's apartment when the door opened and in walked Jacob Young (Lucky) "Now, this is weird," Geary said, grinning, as he put one arm aruond each of his "son's" shoulders. It was the first time he had been with both Luckys, and while Geary has made no secret of his affection and admiration for Jackson, he was lavish with praise for Young," who had some very big shoes to fill. Everybody realized it took alot of courage to do this. It turned out much better than I expected."

Jackson, himself, had helped ease the way for his successor when he chatted with him and left him a card wishing him good luck during a visit to the GH studio shortly after Youngg began as Lucky. Sensitivity is a two-way street, it turns out. When asked about the eponymous song Jackson wrote for Elizabeth, Young said he doesn't want to resurrect it. "That's art. That's Jonathan's. I wouldn't feel right using it." Not that Young plays the guitar - yet. In fact, Geary laughingly suggested that one way to put his own mark on Lucky would be for Young to take up the saxophone instead.
While Young has his work cut out for him for the foreseeable future, Jackson i scurrently between projects. Geary looked on approvingly as Jackson said he's holding out for quality films. "There is so much crap out there, so many movies that are along the same note. I think there is a lot more depth to the generation that I'm growing up inl its just not pot smoking and sex. It's just so easy and uncreative. They have their audience and that's cool, but I'm a little non-conformist; I'd rather have my career go down the tubes trying to do movies that I'm proud of, and that I like, rather than do stuff that I look back on and ask, 'Why? What was the point?' I don't need a better car."

Starry Starry Night
The Pre-Emmy Party

Wendy Riche is not only the executive produccer of GENERAL HOSPITAL - she's also one heck of a hostess. Her annual pre-Emmy soiree - held immediately prior to the big ceremony is her hotel suite - was the hot ticket. But the exclusive bash was for members only .. members of the GH family, that is.
