With Rebecca Herbst

Soap Opera Weekly
April 20, 1999

Did you expect to be nominated?
No, of course not. Hoping, yes, but never expecting.

Which actors work, in your category, are you most familiar with?
Sarah Brown (Carly, GH), because we are on the same show, and I love her psycho storyline.

Who do you think may win your category?
Definitly Ms. Brown. She had that acting thing down pat.

How did you find out about your nomination?
At 5:00am, my parents rushed into my room and I heard my sister scream from the other end of the home. A very good friend called to relay the news!

What would winning the Emmy mean to you?
Everything in the world at that particular moment. Something I'll treature for the rest of my life. But now, it's the nomination that counts.

Whom would you like to be the presenter of your category?
Anyone I work closely with. Jonathan Jacson, Genie Francis or Tony Geary.

Which actors do you think were overlooked this year?
Tyler Christopher (Nik, GH) did a wonderful job this past year, as well as Amber Yamblyn - she always gets overlooked.

Is tehre one actor you ‘re really pulling for this year?
There are two: Jonathan Jackson and Tony Geary, for obvious reasons.

Whom with you bring to the Emmys are your Guest(s)?
My mom, dad and sister.

Which of your co-stars do you give credit for helping you get the nomination?
Jonathan has been the most wonderful acting partner. He really has taught me so much. Without him I wouldn't be where I am in my acting career.

Lasy yeas you made the dress you wore to the Emmys. Are you planning to do that again?
Yes. I already know the style I want, and I am looking for the fabrics. I'm also thinking of something complementary for my sister, Jennifer, to wear, too.

Aside from the Emmys, what are you looking forward to doing in New York?
My sister and I absolutly love the shows. So far our favorites are Les Miserables and Rent.
