Liz followed her sister Sarah to Port Charles, intent on making her life miserable by diverting her away Lucky's amorous attentions. But after being sexually assaulted last year, Liz is a changed person. Gone are her nasty remarks and devious schemes. As Liz recovered from the rape, Lucky came to her side in support....and never left. He spent countless nights on the floor next to her bed, just watching over her. Over the year, as they worked together to find the rapist, Liz and Lucky grew closer together spiritually and emotionally. The relationship has been made even more endearing by its slow, gentle pace. The hand holding on the pier. The stolen kisses during Liz's breaks from Kelly's. The slow-dancing to a song Lucky wrote. In fact, the sensitive relationship (and the horrifying event surrounding it) reminds us of another pair of young lovers two decades ago. Lucky's parents Luke and Laura. And unlike the troubles the Spencers are experiencing right now, we can only hope that Lucky and Liz continue to see bright days.
