Lucky NOT OUT In March

Jonathan Jackson temporarily may leave GH and his role of Lucky in April, not March as reported in TV Guide. It turns out, the actor, who re-signed with GH in January, is up for a role in a major motion picture.

"The way that the contract has been structured is that there is an out for Jonathan to do a feature film", Jackson's manager, Tony Monziotti, tells SOID, adding that his client may or may not leave GH at that point. "And then he may come back (to GH) after the feature film. It's all up in the air."
The film that could take Jackson away from GH is Patriot, a big-budget war movie that now had Mel Gibson attached to star. "We're going after Patriot", Monziotti says. "The problem is that there is also another actor that want it very madly named Elijah Wood, so the war is on. But we have a couple of other films that we are very interested in."
Responding to a report in TV Guide that said Jackson was leaving in March, ABS issued the following statement: "Jonathan Jackson will not be exiting GH this March. He has extended his contract, and viewers can look forward to strong upcoming storyline with Lucky."
In the meantime, Jackson's new film, The Deep End Of The Ocean, opens March 12.
