Another Soap Opera Digest Awards show, another brain-dizzying search for the perfect dress? Not if you're Rebecca Herbst, who's seamlessly nipped that dilemma in the bud. "I'm going to make my own dress again." smiles Herbst, adding that she found her inspiration from a treasured gift. "For my 21st birthday, my grandma gave me a set of rubies with diamonds on the side. It's a necklace and earrings. She really wants me to wear them to an award show, so I think I'm going to find a color that matches (the rubies) and make a dress out of that." As for the actual design of the dress, Herbst looks for ideas from her wardrobe, then leaves the room for a little poetic license. "No matter what I picture in my mind", she laughs, "its never turns out that way."
