1999 Outstanding Younger Actor JONATHAN JACKSON
LUCKY STAR: "As usual, I shaved, took a shower and washed my hair (for the awards)," shares Jonathan Jackson. "General Hospital gave me lots of different products to mess around with."
Wear It's At: "I got my tux from the General Hospital wardrobe department at the last minute," Jackson reveals. "Even though I was giong with whatever they recommended I really liked the style they chose. It looked young, yet it wasn't totally 'out there'".
The Run-Around: "I appeared on DONNY AND MARIE right before the awards show, so I didn't have time to get ready," remembers Jackson. "Basically, I changed in their dressing room and rushed straight to the ceremony. It was like ... get the cloths on and go!"
Happy Meal: "Once the awards finished, I went out to dinner with my family. Everyone was very proud of me, but they're not the type of people who get hystarical. You could just tell by their faces that they were extreamly happy."
1999 Outstanding Younger Actress Rebecca Herbst
Put Your Best Face Forward: "The night before, I used an apricot scrub and a mud mask to make my skin feel really clean and smooth," says Herbst.
Renaissance Woman: "I'm not into the fashions of this day and age and think that my dress with the jacket had a unique period look. I guess I should have been born in 1500's," she laughs.
Time Flies: "I worked that morning, so I had my hair styled at the studio. I got my nails done and then I thought I'd be able to sneak in a quick nap. But, all of a sudden, it was like, 'Oh, I have to get dressed!'".
Rushin' Roulette: "Plan wisely and leave at least three hours to get ready," Herbst advised future nominees. "Don't think you can do everything at the lat minute. I know that I'd rather be all set and watching cartoons for an hour than rushing around like crazy!"
