Facts and Rumors
~Texan rocker Charlie Sexton was an early candidate to play the part of Eric Draven.
~Cameron Diaz was offered the role of Shelly and declined not liking the script.
~One of the Joy Division band members, Bernard Dicken is known to have an alias of Bernard Albrecht. Possibly the source for the Officer Albrecht character name?
~A source at New Line Cinema revealed that Brandon Lee was to be cast in the role of Johnny Cage in the movie, Mortal Kombat. No auditions were being held, the role was his.
FACT--Brandon Lee's last on camera interview is NOT his last interview. The actor did a much shorter and less focussed one for MTV producer the next day; Brandon's face was covered in shadow (with his hair down in his eyes) because he was still in crow makeup and the filmakers were loath to reveal this look before the film opened. The brief footage was basically unusable, and thus never released. So far the only non sanctioned on-set footage of Brandon or the production to surface was the amateur stuff Hard Copy aired.

The New Crow Movie:
FACT: Variety.com announced that Miramax/Dimension have greenlighted the next installment of The Crow film franchise. Titled, "The Crow: Salvation" the film will begin lensing early next year for a Winter 1999 release (probably Halloween). The film is penned by Millenium scripter Chip Johannessen from an original story by Matt Greenberg. Director Bharat Nalluri, whose previous films include “Killing Time” and “Downtime” will helm Salvation.
The story centers around a young man in his 20s who is executed for a
crime he didn't commit. He returns to avenge those who have wronged
him, but rather than another shot-out fest like the previous films,
Salvation is a bent on the mysterious and the clandestine.
FACT: Kirsten Dunst has been asked to play the role of the sister of the woman murdered in the movie.
FACT: James O'Barr heads a new line of Crow comics!
