The twist to this little story is that David's lead guitarist, John Carroll, is Sherri's cousin!! So we talked to John before the show, and Sherri asked him to meet up with us after the show, and he said ok! After the show (which was quite traumatic, but that's a whole other story altogether!!) John took Sherri and I backstage to wait for David Kersh...because Sherri told him that I wanted to meet him..and I did!! :o) David was doing a "Meet and Greet" with his fan club, so John took us to their bus to hang out while we waited!! We talked and hung out with the rest of the band...and finally David returned to the bus. We got to talk to him for a few minutes, and we took some pictures and he signed a couple of autographs for me. Here are those pics as well as some from the concert itself...
I would like to thank Sherri, and her Mom and Dad for taking me to the Rattlesnake Roundup; David Kersh's band members for letting Sherri and I hang out with them on their bus; John Carroll for being nice enough to chat with us, take us backstage, chilling with us, and giving me a chance to meet David Kersh; and David Kersh for taking a brief moment to talk to us, take some pictures, and sign some autographs!! :o)
I am sad to report that David Kersh is no longer singing or performing. :o( He had a few health problems and loved the time that he was able to sing and entertain us with his music, but now has found other things in his life to keep him happy. I wish him all of the happiness in the world, and to thank him for being a great musician. :o) Best of luck David!!!
