Everyone was there at "Master Roshi's"! The whole gang had come! Goku came over and gave Shelby a big hug. Vegeta growled under his breath. Goku didn't seem to hear it though. He gave Vegeta a pat on the shoulder and said,"Glad you came Vegeta!" Vegeta just glared at him. Then Vegeta grabbed a plate and went to fill it up with food. Goku said to Shelby,"Geez! What's got him so uptight?" Shelby just shrugged. Yamcha called Goku over to help cook the burgers and hot dogs on the grill, but he soon regretted his choice of chefs as Goku ate more than he cooked. After a few minutes of watching everybody else, Shelby grabbed a plate and a couple of hot dogs with ketchup and mustard. She sat down next to Krillin on a beach towel and proceeded to fill him in on the latest disasterous attempt to get Vegeta to want her as much as she wanted him. She had no idea of course that she had finally succeeded in getting the Prince's attention. Krillin saw Vegeta watching them and wondered if maybe Shelby was wrong about Vegeta not wanting her. His suspicion was proven correct an hour later, when Shelby emerged from the "Turtle House" in her new bikini. Vegeta looked like he had swallowed his tongue! He couldn't keep his eyes off her! Krillin smiled and said to Goku,"She's got him hooked now!" "Who's got who hooked?," Goku asked, totally clueless. Krillin stared at him, "Where have you been? Shelby's got Vegeta hooked!" "What do you mean, Krillin?," Goku asked, confused. Then Krillin replied,"Well, Vegeta just learned to very important things..." Goku was still confused, "And those would be?" "She wants him, that's number one," Krillin replied, "And second of all, she's a Saiyan too!" Goku was shocked. Goku looked, saw the tail, and did a double-take while rubbing his eyes. "I-I don't believe it! She's a Saiyan?!," he stammered. Vegeta, still in shock, came over to Goku. "Kakarot! Did you know about this?!," he demanded. "Nope! Only I did!," Krillin answered. Vegeta and Goku both asked at the same time, "How did you know?!" Krillin smiled and said, "I was teaching her some of my fighting moves and something moved around her tummy. I asked her what it was, and she replied, 'My tail'. That's when she told me everything...about how she came to Earth, and how she really liked you, Vegeta." Vegeta simply stared at Krillin. "You mean you knew all this time that she was a Saiyan and didn't tell me?!," he shouted. Krillin flinched, "She told me not to tell anyone until she was ready. She wanted to see if she could get you to want her the way she wants you without you knowing she's a Saiyan." Vegeta's jaw dropped, "But, I do want her! I have since the moment I laid eyes on her!" "Have you ever told her that? Better yet, have you ever shown her how much you want her?," Krillin asked. Vegeta looked uncomfortable for a moment, then he ground his teeth, clenched his fists, and set out for the water where Shelby was swimming. Krillin and Goku looked at each other and smiled, "He's got it now!"

Vegeta struggled with words and the need to feel her pressed against him. Finally, he said, "I guess I'll just have to show you how I feel because I can't get the words to come out right." Before she knew what was happening, his strong arms were around her, pressing her close, and his lips were against hers! His tongue licked her bottom lip to taste the salt there. Her lips parted and his tongue slipped into her mouth caressingly. It was several moments before either of them realized that the others were all on the beach cheering. Shelby felt a little embarrassed that everybody was watching them. Then, she felt Vegeta's hardness pressing against her inner thighs, and then against her most sensitive flesh, and she went wild! She grabbed him by the shoulder with her right hand, while her left went behind his head, and then she pulled him to her. His mouth opened in surprise, and she took advantage of that moment to slip her tongue into it. Then she kissed him with all the passion she had! The kiss ended long minutes later, and Shelby looked into Vegeta's eyes, which were smoldering with desire. The crowd on the beach cheered even louder. Vegeta glanced over at the idiots on the beach. "Idiotic fools!," he grumbled. Then he looked at Shelby with one eyebrow raised in amusement, "Just look at them, acting like a pack of hyenas!" Shelby looked and saw Krillin and Goku jumping up and down, waving their hands in the air and yelling like maniacs. Yamcha hollered, "Way to go!" Others were clapping and cheering too. Piccolo was silent, but she could see the slight smile on his face. Then, she realized Gohan was watching them too, and she felt embarrassed all over again. Suddenly, the mood on the beach shifted from elation to fear as Gohan pointed out to where Vegeta and Shelby were and shouted a warning. Shelby and Vegeta couldn't understand what he was saying though.

Gohan had spotted something cutting through the waves just past the spot where Shelby and Vegeta were. At first, he wasn't certain of what he saw. A whale or a dolphin was his first thought, but then it turned, and he knew it for what it really was. He pointed and yelled, "Dad there's a shark!" Krillin and Goku looked where Gohan was pointing. Krillin's eyes bugged,"It's HUGE!" Goku saw it was moving fast, heading for Vegeta and Shelby. "Holy smokes! It's after them!," he exclaimed. Goku powered up, and was off like a shot, using the "Kaio Ken Attack" to increase his speed, he rocketed toward them.

Vegeta, who had been watching Goku, heard her scream and turned to see what was wrong. He saw the shark closing in for the kill, saw Shelby paralyzed with fear, and heard a sound he never thought he'd be pleased to hear.... "Ka...Me...Ha..Me....HA!" Just as Goku fired his "Kamehameha", Vegeta sent a giant ki blast at the shark. Both blasts hit the shark at the same time, leaving nothing behind but a bloody smear on the water's surface. Vegeta and Goku quickly reached Shelby's side. She was in shock at how close she had actually come to being killed. Goku would have lifted her and carried her to shore, but Vegeta was there ahead of him. Vegeta's eyes seemed to say, "Back off, Kakarot! She's mine!" Goku simply smiled. Shelby smiled too, and gazed at Vegeta with adoring eyes, "My hero!," she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled close to him. Vegeta was stunned! "I'm no hero!," he growled. "You are to me, my handsome and sexy Prince!," she purred in his ear. All he could do was stare down at her. Goku smiled knowingly, and Vegeta cast a glare his way.
