"If You Only Knew" Page 9!!!

Shelby nearly had to call "9-1-1" when Vegeta came back into the room several minutes later. Her heart was poundingso hard and fast, she thought it would surely stop. "Holy shit! Oh my GOD!" she gasped. Vegeta stood there, looking like a fallen angel. The major thing that was causing her heart palpitations was the fact that he wasn't wearing a shirt under the jacket! Plus the fact that the jeans fit him so snugly, she could clearly see his arousal. She was panting when he finally finished posing for her, showing off every angle. She wanted to grab him, throw him down on the bed, and make wild, hot, sweet love to him all day! That same thought was in Vegeta's mind, as he watched her naked breasts rise and fall with her rapid breathing. Her eyes told him just how much she wanted him, and her body was shaking with desire. Just as they were about to embrace, the phone rang. Vegeta glared at the annoying contraption. Shelby sighed and picked up the phone, "This is Shelby. What do you want?" she growled. "Hey, Shelby! This is Goku!" he said in his usual cheerful voice. She put him on speaker phone so she didn't have to hold the phone to her ear. "You still there?" Goku asked. "Kakarot!" Vegeta growled. "Oh, hi, Vegeta! I didn't know you were there too!" Goku said. "Vegeta's there too?" they heard Krillin say in the background. "This is good, because now I don't have to try to find you to tell you...," Goku said, trailing off as Krillin whispered something. "Tell me what, Kakarot?" Vegeta was beginning to lose his patience. "Uh...well, maybe Shelby should tell you," Goku hesitated. "By the way, Shelby...are the plans still on for tonight?" Goku asked. "Sure thing!" she told him, eyeing Vegeta nervously. "Tell me WHAT?" Vegeta yelled. Goku, ignoring him, said, "Ok, Shelby, we'll see you guys later then! Bye!" and he hung up. Vegeta saw red! "WHAT did he need to tell me? And just what did he mean when he asked if the plans were still on for tonight?!" Vegeta shouted. Then a thought occured to him...."You've got a date with Kakarot tonight, don't you?!" he yelled. Shelby was stunned speechless. Her silence only made him even more suspicious. He stormed out of the room and down the stairs. He had the front door open, ready to leave, when he heard her yell, "Vegeta! Wait!" "Why should I? If you want him, you're welcome to him!" he growled, heading out the door. He slammed it shut and took off. Shelby flung open the door, struggling with her clothes as she tried to go after him. "Damnit!" she cursed, seeing he had quite a headstart. She finally got her clothes completely on, and took off after him, flying as fast as she could. He was so far ahead, all she could see was a bright speck of light in the sky. She knew she'd never catch him at this rate. She was no match for his power and speed. She suddenly sensed another strong energy force heading straight for her! She knew it wasn't Vegeta, and she panicked for a moment, until she sensed that it was Goku. She knew he could catch Vegeta, so she stopped to wait for him, hovering in mid-air. When she saw him, she waved her arms frantically, and yelled, "Hey, Goku!" Goku saw her and reached her in a split second. Shelby was out of breath, and her words came out in choppy sentences. "Goku! I need...your...help! Vegeta...," she said, pointing in the direction he'd gone. Goku wasn't sure what Shelby needed him for, but he was more than glad to help. "Catch Vegeta!" she said when she finally caught her breath. "You're trying to catch Vegeta?" he asked. "Yes!" she said. "Why? What happened?" Goku asked, confused. "He took your call the wrong way! Now he thinks I have a date with you tonight!" she exclaimed. "WHAT?!" Goku was totally taken aback. "I can't believe he would think I liked you better than him! Especially after I just spent all night trying to show him how much I love him!" she cried, tears making her throat tight with emotion. "No offense, Goku," she added. "None taken. Now, don't you worry, I'll catch him and bring him back to you," he said. "How are you gonna do that?" she asked. "Let me worry about that. Now, where do you want to meet up again? Here?" he asked. "No. Bring him to...there's a clearing in the forest, with a waterfall not far from Master Roshi's island. It's to the West of the island, about 100 miles. Think you can get him there?" she said. "No problem! See ya there!" he yelled as he took off after Vegeta.

Shelby knew she had to fly as fast as the wind to get there before they did. She just hoped that she could get Vegeta to see that she could never love anyone else but him! Se was almost in pain, she was pushing herself so hard. She tested the limits of her ability, rocketing through the air faster and faster. She called for even more speed and power from her body, driving herself to the breaking point. She reached the clearing in record time! Panting and nearly on the edge of collapse, she stumbled to the pool to cool herself. She ducked her head under the rushing waterfall, the water felt so good! She had a brief vision of being held in Vegeta's arms while he took her against the very same boulder she was resting on now, and she sobbed at the thought of never being in his arms again. She flung herself away from the boulder, trying in vain not to cry. She wandered aimlessly about the clearing, hoping Goku would be able to get Vegeta there so she could pour out her heart to him. She came upon a patch of grass that was coated with some dried substance. She suddenly realized that it was the spot where she'd lost her virginity, and that it was her dried blood on the grass! She collapsed and began to sob Vegeta's name.

Vegeta could barely keep from running to her. He and Kakarot had arrived just before Shelby had. Kakarot had caught up to him not far from the clearing...he always came here when he wanted to be alone. He had wanted to kill Kakarot right then and there! When Kakarot had told him that Shelby wanted to meet him at the clearing, he nearly decided to go somewhere else and let her rot waiting for him to show up. 'Wait a minute here! The clearing was my sanctuary long before she even knew about it! So, why should I go somewhere else?' he'd thought. He had kept going, Kakarot right behind him. They had both sensed Shelby coming and as soon as they landed, they had hidden in the forest, pushing their power levels down so she wouldn't sense them. Vegeta hadn't taken his eyes off her since. "Go to her, Vegeta," Goku said softly. "She doesn't need me when she's got you, the almighty Kakarot to pleasure her tonight!" Vegeta replied, his voice thick with disgust. "Are you out of your mind?!" Goku exclaimed, "She doesn't want me, she wants you!"  "Then what was that about 'plans for tonight' you asked her about earlier?" Vegeta growled. "Oh, that! There's a party at her house tonight," Goku explained. "A- A-A party?" Vegeta stammered. "Yep! And you're the guest of honor!" Goku said. "So you mean that you and the others...will be honoring me?!" Vegeta asked wide-eyed. He couldn't believe it! "Yep! That is if you haven't crushed Shelby's heart into a million tiny pieces with your misplaced jealousy," Goku said. "I think she loves you, Vegeta! She'd do anything for you! Krillin told me last night that Shelby had said she would even die for you!"  Vegeta couldn't take it anymore!

Shelby felt a presence behind her, but didn't turn around. Then, she felt strong arms wrap around her from behind. "Vegeta!" she cried. She turned in his arms and kissed him, holding him close. Goku smiled, and saitisfied that they could get along fine without him, he left to continue his errand for Chi Chi. She'd probably be steamed at him for taking so long. Vegeta sensed Kakarot's departure, "Good! He's gone!"  "Who, Goku?" Shelby asked. He nodded. "Did he have to drag you here?" she asked, looking into his eyes. "Hmph! As if he could ever drag me anywhere!" he growled, "I was already on my way here!"  "You were?" she exclaimed. "This is where I always come when I want to be alone," he said. "Oh, I didn't mean to intrude on your private place!" she said. "It's alright! Besides, if you hadn't risked it, I'd still think you wanted Kakarot!" he told her. "You're the only one I need, Vegeta! Kakarot is just too much of a goody-goody for my taste! I prefer you!" she said. Vegeta smiled, "How I could have ever thought you liked that third-class, soft-hearted idiot over me, the Prince of all Saiyans, is beyond me!" He stood and lifted her into his arms, then he flew with her back to her house.
