Just when we thought it would never happen... fate gives us Star Trek The Next Generation. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it but Trek had changed, and become something more. It was still just as idealistic as The Original Series and in its new incarnation even the Klingons could be Heros!!!
Jean Luc Picard played by Patrick Stewart is the new captain of The Federations newest flagship Enterprise D. He enjoys drinking hot Earl Gray tea and reading DIXON HILL detective novels.
Commander William T. Riker played by Jonathon Frakes is the first officer. He enjoys spending time with ex-girlfriend and shipmate Deanna Troi. You can always count on Number One to be the first to accept an away mission.
Lt. Commander Data played by Brent Spiner is the second officer. He is an android and despite all his advantages ( great strength and high intelligence) he does not understand human behavior especially humor.
Lt. Commander Geordi LaForge played by LeVar Burton is the Cheif engineer. Although blind from birth, Geordi was outfitted with a visor that helps him see. An excellent engineer but he isn't particularly good with women.
Dr. Beverly Crusher played by Gates McFadden is the cheif medical officer. She has a secret crush on Captain Picard, she is a keen dancer and loves staging amateur dramatics.
Counselor Deanna Troi, played by Marina Sirtis is the ships counsellor. She is Half-betazoid and Half-human. She can sense emotions and helps all the crew cope with the stress and strain of life on board The Enterprise.
Lt. Worf played by Michael Dorn, is the Cheif Security officer. He is the only Klingon in Star Fleet. He is in a unique position and through him we learn alot about the Klingon Empire.
