Well, do I really need to say anything?
Basically, it's an innovative interpretation of the
classic story of "Tarzan". As before, Tarzan is basically
a man who was raised by Gorillas, and acts/behaves like
the animal world. Nonetheless, his world is turned upside
down when an expedition invades his home; the jungle.
Somewhat like the "Jungle Book", Tarzan must decide which
society he belongs to: The human race, or the animal
kingdom. Meanwhile, there's the beautiful Jane of the
jungle who's there to, naturally, add complication, and
of course, a love story.
In general, it's Disney so it did have definate quality
to it. Nonetheless, I went and saw this flick with a 4
year old buddy of mine who found it to be, nonetheless,
boring. For teens and adults as well, it's exactly like
every single Disney film made! The beginning is like
a mix of Bambi and the Jungle Book. The middle seems to
be 100% Pochahontas. The end, is none other than, The
Lion King. No offense, but Disney, you might wanna get some
new material. I have to admit, there were highlights in it,
and since it IS Disney, it has a certain virtue that's
unchallenged. Furtheremore, like usual, the sound track
rocks! But I MUST say, that due to a lack of originiality,
I did have to knock off a considerable amount of points.
I really have nothing further to add, but I suppose I'll end
with this: It is Disney, it has quality, but lacks originality.
If your the type of person who gets annoyed by that lack
of originality, then I suggest you don't go see it.
However, if you don't mind a slight crack in the vase, then
see it because it is a fun flick, even if it does get
somewhat... boring at times to a four year old.
Well, at least my 16 year old friend liked it! Odd, but
true.
