The Origin of Cessastion

By Carrie

Somehow,
Like two stars colliding,
Two souls encountered.
One strong and isolated,
One exquisite and determined
Together were a puzzle tailored,
With only two pieces
At first, affecting only themselves,
Their passion burned brilliant.
Light, love and understanding
Surrounded their space.
The expanse encircling the merged
Was touched by the warmth.
However, Fortune was at a loss.
By means stronger than the living,
Through the purpose of vice,
The united were broken.
However fleeting, it was known
The merged would be forever,
Although parted.
No longer fired by desire,
The warmth grew cold with fury.
And again the strong was isolated.
