"Who ever thought the sun would come crashing down My life in flames my tears complete the pain We fear the end the dark as deep as riverbed..."

Jadzia felt her life slipping away from her. She was afraid because she knew that the end was near. As Worf walked into the infirmary, Jadzia let a single tear slip from her eye. She knew that this would be the last time they would see each other. She knew that eternal darkness was ready to consume her. She looked into her lovers eyes and saw the fear, the fear that this was the end. She didn't want to believe that this was happening. She didn't want her life to end this way. She didn't want to leave without her Par'machi.

Worf looked into Jadzia's crystal eyes. He saw fear in them too. He never wanted to admit it but he too was afraid, afraid of how this chapter of his life would end. He wanted so badly to be able to switch places with her, to take away the hurt, the pain. He felt so helpless, there was nothing he could do but allow her to surrender to the coming darkness. He watched as his beloved wife's eyes slowly closed, her life ended way too soon.

"I never thought my heart would miss a single beat Caress your hand as I watch you while you sleep So sweet I weep as I search within To find a cure, to bring you back again And the sun will rise, open up your eyes Surprise just a blink of the eye I tried I tried to be positive You're a fighter so fight, wake up and live"

Worf opened his eyes as he finished the Klingon death dirge and looked down at his wife whose skin was now pale, her spirit removed. His heart skipped a beat, was she really gone? He held her hand as tightly as he could, not wanting to let go. He didn't want to believe that this was the end. He wanted so desperately to bring her back to life. Maybe doctor Bashir could save her still. Maybe he could bring the life back to her. Maybe he could make her live again. He could see it in his mind. He could see her eyes opening and her rising to her feet, as if this was all a bad dream. Worf closed his eyes, hoping that maybe this was a dream. He opened them once again and everything remained the same. Jadzia lay there in eternal sleep. Worf knelt down to Jadzia and whispered in her ear," You are a warrior Jadzia, fight for your life. Fight and live." But, nothing happened...

"My book of life incomplete without you here Alone I sit and reminisce Sometimes I miss your touch your kiss your smile And meanwhile you know I never cry 'Cos deep down inside you know our love will never die..."

It had been only a few weeks since Jadzia's death. Still, Worf couldn't function without her. He tried as hard as he could, but all of his attempts to make life as it was before never succeeded. Alone in his now empty quarters, the lonely warrior sits and remembers. He remembers everything about her. The way her smile or laugh would brighten up his day. The way he felt so secure when she was curled up next to him every night. The way she made his life feel so complete. But, you'll never see this warrior shed a tear. For, he saw her everywhere. He felt her everywhere. Even though he was as lost as he felt, he knew that their love for each other would last through all boundaries of time and space.

"I'd give my life to only see you breath again Hand in hand as we walk on the white sands To hear your voice rejoice as you rise and say This is the day that I wake and pray okay..."

In his dreams, Worf could see her. He remembered the times they spent together. He remembered the sound of her voice, the way she never strayed from her little "routines", the little vacations they spent together. All of these memories he relived in his dreams. But, every morning when Worf awoke, the only thing he wished for was to see her again. To see that this was just all a bad dream.

" Today's silence as time just moves on You can't hear it, but I'm playing my favorite songs I miss you much, I wish you'd come back to me You see I'd wait a lifetime 'cos you're my destiny..."

A year has passed since Jadzia's death. Worf now spends most of his days in OPS or in the Defiant. Although he still had Jadzia's quarters, the time he spent in there was too painful. The memories were still there. While in the Defiant, Worf could be found playing one of his favorite Klingon operas. This particular one he used to sing to Jadzia and urged her to sing along, although she rarely did. Every time he played this opera, he remembered Jadzia. For the opera was about the tale of two lovers, separated by time and space. They loved each other so deeply that nothing could come between them. He missed Jadzia with all of his heart and soul, but he knew that one day they would be reunited because he knew she was his destiny.

"Everything's gonna be alright Everything's gonna be okay Everything's gonna be alright Together we can take this one day at a time Can you take my breath away Can you give him life today 'Cos everything's gonna be okay I'll be you strength, I'll be here when you wake up..."

Jadzia always watched over Worf. She saw everything her beloved was going through and it hurt her so much to know that she couldn't be there for him. She'd watch him while he was working in the Defiant. She'd watch him while he played their favorite songs. She wanted to be with him always. She couldn't leave without knowing he was going to be okay. She wanted so desperately to give Worf back the life he once knew. She wanted her Par'machi to live again. Everyday she would be with him, taking everything one step at a time. Sometimes, when Worf was sleeping in their quarters, Jadzia would just sit there and watch him. She'd walk up to his bedside, caress his face and say, "Everything's gonna be alright..."
