Sailor Mars

The story...

Oh My God...if anyone had told me that I'd ever wear a Sailor Scout costume...I would have laughed til I was sore. But wouldn't you know? Here I am...almost 22 and I had the honor of portraying Sailor Mars for Sailor Naboo's Knights In White Satin at Sakura Con 2001! Now, I'm not big on the series Sailor Moon at all. The dubbing makes my teeth ache and I'm not too much into "fighting for truth and love across the universe"...although I give kudos to those who fight for it. *wink*

I met Sailor Naboo on Alisa-Chan's message board a while back and she asked if I would be interested in being in her Sailor Moon cosplay group at Sakura Con 2001. I told her that I had no sewing skills what-so-ever. She explained that she was going to make all the costumes...that sold me right away. ^_^ I went out and bought a nice black wig for $35 and sent Naboo my measurements. Next thing I know, I'm wearing the senshi outfit...Wow! I loved this costume. Naboo did an extrodinary job with all the senshi outfits. Please go to her site and see all the Sailor Scout outfits she made! The skit we did was a hit and we won Best Amature Costume. ^_^ We gave all the prizes to Naboo because she worked her fingers to the bone for us. Thank you so much, Naboo! ^_^
I would have bought the costume from Naboo, but I am a poor college student. *wink* So here are the costume pix...most of them came from Naboo's site.
I'll never even think about dying my hair black...

I'll never be scared of a Gundam after this lil' stunt. *LOL*

Go to Naboo's page for all the neat pictures of Knights In White Satin!
