Seventeen's Joshua Jackson Interview!

This Dawson's Creek star may not be a living legend yet-but he's definitely a hotter-than-hot heartthrob.
GIG: He plays the wisecracking (but oh-so-cute) Pacey Witter on the WB's Dawson's Creek.
COMING ATTRACTIONS: In October you'll dig Joshua as practical jokester Damon in the bloody-smart horror flick Urban Legend (with Jared Leto and Alicia Witt) Also in October, grab a seat to see him in Apt Pupil with Brad Renfro.
And early next year, you'll want to check out Joshua's miniscule-but-pivotal role in Cruel Invitations (with Sarah Michell Gellar and Ryan Phillippe).
BIRTHDAY: June 11, 1978, which makes this green-eyed 20-year-old a Gemini.
LOVEMATCHES: There's a serious chance Joshua will swoon for you if you're a Libra, and Aquarius or a Taurus.
A LITTLE BIT WANTED: "If girls were going after me, I would not only admit it, I would exaggerate about the swarming masses. At this point, it's narrowed down to my little sister and a couple of girls I grew up with-but they don't exactly swarm."
LESS THAN IMPRESSED: "My mother is like, 'Congratulations, you're on a TV show! Now take out the trash.'"
SURROGATE FAMILY: "When Dawson's started, the four of us [Joshus plus Katie Holmes, James Van Der Beek, and Michelle Williams] hung, like, eighteen hours a day because we didn't know anybody else. We were this minifamily. Now we know things about one another that we shouldn't."
SLOBBY BOY: The day seventeen met Joshua, he was wearing flip-flops, a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. "Most people call my style of dress slovenlt-I call it extreme casual. If I didn't have a mother and sister for the times I do have to get dressed up, I'd be absolutely lost."
STAR CRUSH: "Uma Thurman is one of the most beautiful women I've ever see. She has these wicked eyes-it looks like there is such a brain behind those eyes."
ACTOR ENVY: "I think Ryan Phillippe is the real deal. He's the only next-generation guy I've met where I'm like, 'Yup, that guy is not a pretender.'"
RED-CARPET VIRGIN: "The Godzilla premiere was my first experience walking down the red carpet. It was so crazy. I didn't expect anybody to know who I was-but they [the paparazzi] were screaming 'Josh! Josh!' I appreciated the sentiment, but it was kind of dehumanizing."
WHERE'S YOUR MUSTACHE?: Joshua's smirky smile had landed him a new starring role-he'll be sporting the requisite milky mustache in those ever-present cow-juice ads.
CALL ME A MISFIT: "The best compliment I've ever gotten was when a Dawson's Creek director said, 'You remind me of Holden Caulfield' [from J.D. Salinger's The Catcher In The Rye]."
PRETTY SCARY: How did her scream bloodcurdlingly (and believably) for those terror scenes in Urban Legend? "I thought of my seventh-grade English teacher-naked."
