Smt Shobana Bhalchandra, is the youngest of the Trio sisters(Radhika, Gayatri & shobana), the first and the seniormost disciple of The Dhanajayans.She has also benefited from the able tutelage of Padmabushan Smt. kalanidhi Narayanan.

The Trio sisters are professional panel artists for Indian council for cultural relations(ICCR)and have given widely acclaimed performances all over India, and at various international forums in Germany,Russia, Srilanka, Africa, Middle east, South Africa, USA and recently in Denmark & South America.Smt Shobana has received several awards and accolades in recognition of her abilities in this art.

She is an equally accomplished teacher and imparts training in Bharathanatyam theory and practice at chennai and coimbatore.

The Thrayee school of Bharathanatyam, the dance institution run by the Trio sisters, serves to mould students to professional standars of excellence, while also enabling Radhika, Gayatri and Shobana to hone their individual and collective skills, and choreograph neo-classical productions.
