Episode 7: The Art of Seduction

Duo had put Hilde, Deanna, Daria, Delialah and Deidre down to sleep. They actually weren't hard to take care of. Not once he had gotten the routine down. Of course his friends had really come through for him, especially Quatre. He looked over at his blonde haired friend, who was sleeping on the floor, next to a pile of dirty baby clothes.

'Poor guy. I really wish there was something I could do for him, to repay him.' Duo knew that Quatre had a crush on Trowa, and Relena was working with Trowa. Relena was going to come over to help him dress the girls before her next shift tomorrow. Duo smiled mischievoulsly as the wheels in his brain began to turn.

"Oh Trowa, you're so smart. I hadn't even thought about rerouting the data through that channel." Relena said as she smiled up at the tall Borg.

"Really? It was the most logical approach. It should have been your first choice." Trowa sat down and began scanning the data stream that was scrolling across his terminal when he felt Relena's hair tickle his arm. He looked up to find Relena peering over his shoulder, her face just inches away from his.

"Is there something you need?"

"Oh I was just curious. What's that?" She asked as she pointed to something on the screen, then placed her hand on Trowa's shoulder.

Trowa felt a rush of warmth pass through him and wondered why Relena was so close. The other crewmembers never got this close to him. Except Catherine, who had hugged him once. That had been an uncomfortable experience, this was also somewhat uncomfortable.

"It's just normal transporter data. You should recognize it."

"Oh, of course it is, how silly of me. Where's my head?" Relena laughed but it wasn't a normal laugh, it was higher than normal and stopped too quickly.

"I know that you are helping Duo with the babies. Maybe you are just tired and therefore not very lucid at this moment." Trowa said, hoping that that was in fact what was wrong with her.

Relena sighed and then stood up. Trowa let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Relena than sat down on the counsel in front of Trowa. In fact her chest was right at his eye level and her right leg brushed his arm when she crossed it over her left leg.

"Perhaps you're right. I am awfully tired." Relena's mouth curled downward and her eyes were wide but sad. Trowa felt something like pity towards her. "I can't wait to crawl into bed and drift off into blissful sleep." Relena smiled and looked up at the ceiling. She then stretched her arms up over her head and yawned loudly. Trowa couldn't help but notice the way her chest moved towards him as she did this.

"Maybe you should go off duty early and go to sleep." He said. She had stopped stretching, but his eyes were still glued to her chest.

"Oh I couldn't do that. We have too much work to do." Relena looked at him sadly.

"I'll do your work for you." The words seemed to leave Trowa's mouth without his consent.

"You will, oh Trowa, you're so kind!" Relena hopped off the counsel and sat on Trowa's lap giving him a quick hug and kiss on the cheek. "You're the best Trowa." She said softly into his ear, before standing up and leaving the room.

Trowa just watched her go. That warm feeling had now filled his entire body. He noticed her bottom seemed to sway as she walked. He felt a slight bit of sorrow when the door slid shut behind her.

Heero sat down on the couch and looked at Dorothy coldly.

"I am surprised to see you, Heero. I'm afraid that my quarters could use some straightening." Dorothy smiled at him as she sat down on the couch.

"I don't mind. I have heard that you are pregnant. That is what you wanted, right?" He asked without preamble.

"Yes, that's what I wanted. I am very happy, and very grateful to you Heero." She said.

"Are you prepared for this child Dorothy?" Heero asked, hoping she wasn't in need of his assistance.

"Well, I do have quite some time before it is born, why do you ask?"

"I was wondering what you expect from me." He stated bluntly.

"Expect? I don't expect anything Heero. You've done all that I need. However, I would be more than happy to have your help, if you're offering." He hadn't been expecting that.

"No, I'm not offering to help. I just wanted to make sure that you didn't want anything more from me." Heero stood up, but Dorothy placed a hand on his arm, preventing his departure.

"Wait Heero. Have I done something to offend you?"

"No."

"Well than why don't you stay?" She asked, patting the couch where he had been sitting.

"Why would I stay?"

"Tell me Heero, did you enjoy having sex with me?"

"Well, it was an interesting experience."

"Interesting? I think that you found it more than interesting. In fact you seemed quite pleased after it was finished. Tell me, would you like to do it again?" She smiled at him and it made him want to leave even more, but he had to admit, it had been a good experience and he had been thinking about it a lot lately. In fact he had been thinking about how he could repeat the experience. "You see, now that I'm pregnant, there's no reason not to. It would just be for fun."

Heero was surprised to find himself thinking about Relena. She was still quite upset with him. In fact, she had said that she hated him. He and Trowa had determined that she was jealous. This would probably not help the situation. However she was working with Trowa right now, so as long as Dorothy didn't say anything, she wouldn't find out and therefore she wouldn't get mad at him again. Of course he still wasn't sure why her being mad at him was bothering him, but he didn't want to make things worse.

"If I stay and we have sex, then I don't want you to tell anyone. Especially not Relena."

"Now why would I tell anyone? I have no desire to discuss my sex life with the rest of the crew. This is just between you and me, Heero."

Heero nodded. "I'll stay." He said as he began to strip off his uniform.

"Trowa where's Relena?" Noin asked as she walked into the room.

"She was tired so she took off duty and went to sleep. I told her I would cover her duties."

"Really? That was awfully generous of you." Noin smiled, could the former Borg be learning compassion? Noin didn't mind that Relena took off, except it left her alone with Trowa and he wasn't much of a conversationalist. She figured it was going to be a quiet 2 hours while she waited for her shift to end.

"Have you found anything so far?" She asked.

"No."

"Oh Duo, they're so cute. They must be a lot of work though." Catherine said as she dressed little Hilde after her bath.

"Oh hell, I don't mind, they're totally worth it. Plus they aren't like human babies, they don't really cry, they hum and you can tell what they want from the pitch. Like if it's a high pitched hum it usually means a diaper needs to be changed and if it is quiet and low that means someone's happy. Plus everyone's been really helpful. I had Quatre over here earlier and Relena's coming tomorrow morning. I really appreciate your coming over now Cathy, it's a big help. It's hard to keep an eye on all of them." Duo placed Daria next to Deanna and then began to dry Deidre who had crawled out of the bathtub and was crawling around the apartment naked.

"Right now they are mainly interested in sleeping, but soon they'll be walking and it's gonna get insane around here." While Duo was talking he was thinking about his plan to get Trowa and Quatre together. Catherine was Trowa's sister. He wondered if he should involve her. He didn't know how she would take finding out that Quatre was interested in her brother.

"Officer Noin, may I ask you a question?" The cheif engineer practically fell out of her seat. She had been dozing off slightly. Even fully awake the idea of Trowa starting a coversation was pretty unbelievable.

"Of course you can Trowa, and you can call me Noin if you like." She smiled at him encouragingly.

"My question is: how can you tell when someone is just being friendly or if they desire something else from you? Something like a mate?"

"Oh well, uhm sometimes it is hard, depending on who the person is. I mean if the person is shy they may just try to strike up a quiet conversation, but some people are more forward and they will let you know by their actions, like they may touch you or wink at you? It's hard to say, do you think someone may be interested in you?" Noin smiled brightly, being a higher officer she often didn't get to gossip with the rest of the crew.

"When I told Relena I would cover her duties, she kissed me."

"What?!" Noin was shocked, but quickly regained her composure. "How did she kiss you Trowa, was it on the cheek or on the lips? Because I'm sure you are aware that Relena has some interest in Heero. Well she did, that was before Dorothy got pregnant. Now I'm not so sure."

"She told Heero she hated him. After I said I would finish her work for her, she hugged me and kissed me on the cheek." Trowa's voice was neutral and Noin couldn't tell if he was happy or upset by Relena's actions, but they sounded innocent enough to Noin.

"I don't think that is such a big deal. Friends usually kiss each other on the cheek when they are happy. Relena is a very warm and open person. I think that she was just grateful. I don't think that you have anything to worry about." Noin couldn't tell if Trowa was relieved but she had a sense that he probably was. She made a note to speak with Relena about her actions. She was sure the girl didn't want to cause anyone to feel uncomfortable.

Dorothy looked at the clock after Heero left her quarters. 'Eleven minutes, he's learning.' She thought to herself.

It was a nice distraction, but now she was behind schedule. She quickly got dressed and attached an alien CPU to the console. She typed in the addressee and waited.

"You're late, were there complications."

"No ma'am, no complications." Dorothy smiled demurely.

"Then everything is proceeding according to our plans?"

"Yes ma'am, everything's working out perfectly."

"Excellent check-in again in 48 hours."

"Yes ma'am." Dorothy ended the transmission and went back to bed, rubbing her belly she asked "Do you like your daddy? I'm thinking he might be worth saving, but he's the only one."

"Officer Noin we have a transmission."

"What now?" Noin stood up and looked at the screen over Trowa shoulder.

"Yes it just ended."

Noin tapped her badge. "Relena come to engineering now."
