LOGANA

By Ouchkinap, Maria Cline, Polka Dot, Admiral, The XO, if I have forgotten anyone I am so sorry, the names got cut off towards the end.

Part 2

"Nothing." Scott replied as he put on his most serious face.

"You look lovely tonight, Logana." Nathan said as he stifled a laugh.

Logana growled as Nathan pulled out a chair and gestured her to sit down. Logana
couldn't help but smile a little at the chivalrous behavior but she growled. She sat down
as Domino went up to the table.

Domino smiled a little as she asked, "You know, this is something I want to watch.
Hmmm... do you mind if we sit here too?"

Maria Cline

"Do whatever you like." "Please join us." Both Logana and Scott were happy to have company even if Logana hated Cable. Otherwise this uncomfortable evening was just going to drag on forever.

"That's a nice dress Logana. Who picked it out for you?"

"Jean and Rouge, they are loving this, I'm a full-sized Barbie doll for them now."

"Does that mean you're playing the part of Ken, Scott?" Nathan couldn't resist giving the couple (couple?) some ribbing after all he and Domino's romantic dinner for two was now off, he had to salvage this evening somehow.

"No Nathan, Jean is definitely playing this for laughs." Scott said very matter-of-factly with a slight frown.

"I doubt that Scott, if I know Jean I think that perhaps she really thinks this could be a good thing for you and Logana. I mean now that she is no longer the object of both your affections, you two should be able to bury whatever hatchet you have and become friends. That is right isn't it Logana, you are no longer interested in women?"

"Yeah that's right, but I ain't planning on this being permanent. And Jeannie knows better. Scott and I got a lot more issues than his wife between us."

"Oh like what?" Domino was finding this conversation to be incredibly interesting all of a sudden.

"Well as leader of the X-Men you both are aware that in the past I have been unhappy with Logan's failure to comply with orders in the field." Scott replied, with no ill will intended, just being honest.

"You know I got my reasons Cyke." Logana didn't see it that way at all, truth be told her feelings were a little hurt.

"Really? I always assumed your reason was to give me a hard time." Now Scott was creeping towards a smile, maybe he could draw the irate Logana out. He might not like her but he knew how to deal with her. He didn't have a clue how to deal with Logana in a social setting (aka a date).

"Scott that's not true. I wouldn't endanger the team just to piss you off." Logana's voice sounded hurt and surprised everyone at the table, including Logana. /Where the hell had that come from?/ she thought.

"Uhh ... I didn't mean it like that. Same old joke, that's all." Scott was flustered and Domino wasn't even trying to hide her smile.

"Now Scott you should know better then to point out a lady's shortcomings on the first date." Nathan decided that he was definitely gonna enjoy the evening.

"Hell you should never point out a lady's shortcomings ever, not if you plan on getting to, what's it? Second base? I'm no good with sports analogies." Domino leaned over and whispered the last part so only Logana could hear.

"I have no intention of getting on base!" Scott was rather close to shouting.

"Don't think just cause we're in some fancy restaurant I won't gut the both of you!" Logana wasn't enjoying being laughed at, she stood up and shot her dirtiest look at the table.

Scott was afraid that Logana was gonna pop her claws and they were already drawing attention from the other patrons.

"Logan please calm down," and then Scott made a huge mistake, he reached over and placed his hand on Logana's forearm in a very warm and reassuring way that had proven to be quite effective on other upset women in the past. At first Logana seemed to relax but then she realized that Scott was touching her, in a non-teammate way and promptly jumped out of her skin.

"What the hell do you think you are trying to do? Don't touch me, you, you jerk!" Logana took her purse and whacked Scott across the face, then proceeded out of the restaurant. Scott stood there looking like a deer in headlights and Cable and Domino were practically rolling on the floor in fits of laughter.

Scott finally had the presence of mind to go after Logana, he didn't even say anything to Nathan and Domino on the way out.

Polka Dot

Scott came out of the restaurant frustrated. "Logan!" Scott yelled out.

He ran his hand through his hair. She still has this ability to hide in plain sight. "Okay, Slim." Scott muttered to himself. "If you were Logana, where would you be?"

Behind his glasses, his eyes widen. "Of course." He looked around to see a bar in the corner.

Scott ran over to the bar and entered it. Logana was sitting there with a definite 'leave me alone or you will be gutted look' on her face.

"Logan, I'm sorry for what I did back there." He said as he sat down next to her.

"Where's yer son?"

"At the restaurant, laughing his guts out."

"Okay. I'm not mad at you."

"You're not?"

"No. It's just that I reacted to that like a..."

"Woman?" Scott asked hoping that Logana won't attack him.

"Yeah. This thing ain't easy for me. I'm feeling things I don't like."

"It's just hormones. We don't have to go on with this. We can just stay here for the rest of the night. Besides, we may have lost our table back there."

"Nah, I'm starved and you still owe me a dinner, bub."

*Nathan we're coming back in so I hope you and Domino can act a little bit more appropriately.*

*Sorry Scott, but you know I can't resist sticking it into Logan or Logana. I mean I do owe him.*

*Well as long as you are done for the evening.*

*I am, do you want Domino and I to sit at a separate table?*

*It's your choice.*

Nathan and Domino returned to their original table and Logana and Scott began to dig into their salad, when a pair of familiar scents caught Logana's attention.

/No, oh NO, not him!/ she thought as she caught Victor Creed's scent along with some trashy bimbo swimming in cheap perfume. /He probably picked her up on the corner two minutes before driving over here./ Logana thought.

"...Logana? What's wrong now?" Scott asked, he had noticed she wasn't paying any attention to him.

"Trouble just walked in, I think that this dinner is over." Logana replied as she nodded over her shoulder to Creed, as she did so she accidentally locked eyes with him.

Creed smiled. /Nice one, not bad at all./ He suddenly noticed who was sitting next to her...

======

"We are in for a heap of trouble one eye." Logana said ready to give that bastard every thing she had.

"Sit tight Logan, I’m calling Jean..." Scott said ready to blast Sabertooth.

"Ye think I can't handle him Slim?" Logana said as she growled.

"Don't look but he is coming over here." Scott said and sent a telepathic message to Jean.

"Great, I can't stand his smell from over there and he is coming over... I’m going to throw up all over him." Logana said and tightened her fist.

"Hello there frail what are ye doing hanging with this trash." Creep said placing his hands on the table.

"Creed, we don't want any trouble, and you should know that we outnumber you." Scott nodded to Nathan and Domino.

"And what if ah just grab the little frail here to have fun with... what would ye do then." Creed ran one fingertip across Logana's arm.

/Damn, there is something about this woman./ Creed thought and sniffed her.

Logana eyed Scott begging for a chance to jump all over Creed.

"Sit tight, we are not going to start a fight here." Scott said eyeing Logana.

"Yeah frail, don't ye worry, ah won’t bite ye." He leaned in close. "Not yet." He said grinning wildly.

That was it, she was not about to let Creed think he was about to {pick her up}.

Logana stood up and to her surprise slapped him across the face with and open hand, but so hard that Creed fell over.

The puzzled face of the Animal known as the Sabertooth, in combination the fact that he was trying pick up Logana, was more the Nathan could handle and he fell over in his chair laughing.

"That was not nice frail." Creed said with a confused smile. "Guess ye wanna play rough, fine by me."

"Let's step outside." Logana said and locked eyes with Creed. Before Creed and Logana could continue their 'discussion', Creed's 'date' stepped up.

"Hey, what gives, you know this bimbo?"

"Who are you calling a bimbo, bub?" /The nerve,/ thought Logana, /of *her* calling me a bimbo./

"Bub?!" Creed could only think of one person who used that word. Creed took another sniff, he was really getting interested in just who this woman was.

"Look Creed, if you want to enjoy your evening then I suggest you and your date find another restaurant to eat at." Scott said, as he wondered just where Jean was.

"I eat where I want, when I want and with whom I want. Tell you what one eye, let's trade, I think that this frail of yours would prefer to spend the evening with a real man."

"That's it I ain't taking anymore of this, if you won't step outside, I'll gut you right here." Logana backed up her threat by popping three gleaming admantium claws in Creed's face.

"So, now we have a formal introduction, let's dance." Logana grabbed the stunned Creed by the collar and drove her knee up in a sensitive spot.

Creed went white, like a ghost, then let out a muffled cry and fell to his knees, he looked up at Logana confused... just as Logana ran her fist down in the center of his face with a crunching sound...

"How do you like that, bub?" Logana said as Scott grimaced.

Sabertooth grinned slowly. "Well, looks like that last battle we had really hurt ya, huh, frail?"

Logana snarled as she began to bash Sabertooth on the head. Claws popped out of her hands as she said, "Let's see if you're parts are replaceable."

Scott glanced around to see Nathan with both hands on his temples. The other people were ignoring them as the Logana dragged Sabertooth out of the door. Sabertooth's date glanced at Scott and asked, "What's going on?"

"You don't want to know." Scott replied as he got up and said, "Check."

Scott got up after paying, and walked over to Nathan. "Sorry, looks like we have to cut this short."

They could hear the fighting out side... growling and screaming.

"Maybe you should go and help..." Domino said but was cut of by a sound that sounded almost like a dog yelling out in pain...

The sound made them all turn white!

"What was that?" Scott said and looked out the door... Logana was walking in smiling... wide, her dress was ripped in several places, and her hair was on end... but that damn smile... was so big.

"What happened." Scott said swallowing.

"Let’s call it pay back and leave it at that..."

Scott and Nathan grimaced and Domino only grinned.

"I guess you could go home now {bimbo} I don't think Creed is in the mood." Logana said eyeing the {bimbo}.

Jean and Rogue both gasped in horror as they arrived at the restaurant.

"What happened, sugar? Your dress is in pieces."

"Sabertooth showed up, it wasn't pretty." Scott said avoiding direct eye contact, but Jean saw the entire evening replayed through psilink.

"I am sorry Scott we got here as soon as we could. It looks like this dinner was a big mistake."

"Are you kidding Jean, I had a great evening." Nathan chuckled but then quickly wilted under the look Jean sent at him.

"Oh sugar, do ya wanna talk about it?" Rogue asked as she put a reassuring arm around Logana's shoulder.

"No, thanks Rouge. As bad as this overall evening was, I rather enjoyed getting to exact some revenge on Creed."

"I wish I coulda gotten a piece of him for ya." Rouge said as she made fist.

"Well if you want a piece of him..." Logana smiled wickedly and then opened up her purse.

"Oh my gawd, is that his...?"

"Yep, I wanted to make sure his healing factor couldn't repair the damage."

"Hey Logana do you think that Hank could use that to repair you?"

"Are you kidding, it's Creed's!?" Logana was never squeamish but she squirmed at the thoughts currently coursing through her mind.

"Well you and Creed may be family so that would make you two compatible." Scott said continuing quickly as the looks of horror directed towards him were making him just a little uncomfortable. "I think we should get this to Hank right away."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Daaaayo"
"Daaaayo"
"Daylight come and we wanna go home"
"Are you sure he's your son?" Logana asked as she glanced back at Cable and Domino with a rather annoyed look on her face.
"Actually I like that tune. Although I do wish they hadn't drunk so much. I know that it's been a stressful night but..."
"Stressful night? I don't see how it has been stressful for them, I'm the one who should be falling down in a drunken stupor." Logana mumbled, knowing perfectly well if it wasn't for her healing factor she would probably be unconcious by now. "Why did they bother coming back with us anyway? Aren't they holed up at some hotel on the island?"
"I asked them to come back with us."
"You what?! Why?"
"Well I know Jean would be upset if she didn't get a chance to see them and I thought that you could use all the support you could get. I mean you have a big decision to make here."
"Maybe, maybe not, Hank said that surgically it's impossible, so it is up to Amanda and Shaman now. If they can't figure out some magic trick then I got no real choice here." Logana replied, she was trying not to think about it. On the one hand, she didn't want to be a woman anymore. She had been a guy for longer than most people's lifetimes, but on the other hand, the idea of 'attaching the equipment she had obtained from Creed' was just making her skin crawl. Some choice.
"Oh Wolvie, everything gonna be alright, ya gotta think positive." Jubilee placed a reassuring hand on Logana's shoulder.
"Hey shouldn't you be in bed pumpkin? It's almost one o'clock?"
"One O'clock, Two O'clock, Three O'clock GO Daylight come and we wanna go home."
"Scott, would you please get them outta here?!"
"Alright." Scott got up and started to escort his Domino and Nathan out of the room.
"Come on Wolvie, I ain't letting you stay up all by yourself."
"Thanks Darlin' but I ain't exactly alone here, Cajun and Jeannie are still up." Jean was with Hank, awaiting word from the magicians and Gambit, well she didn't really know what Gambit was up to. "You get your sleep, I don't need Emma biting my head off when we get back."
"But Wolvie..."
"No, you go to bed." Logana cut her off in a voice that let Jubilee know the discussion was over.
"Okay Wolvie, g'night." Jubilee popped off the couch and hugged Logana quickly before scampering outta the room.
/Alone at last, or maybe not,/ she thought as she caught the Cajun's scent. "What do'ya want Gumbo?"
"Heard about yer night out, mon ami. Gambit sorry, was just tryin' t'get ya ta loosen up, guess it didna work."
"Hmmm, I figured you would've loved the way this night turned out. Get a real laugh out of it."
"Wadda ya mean? Gambit not tryin' ta get his kicks offa your misfortune."
"Really? Way I see it, you and Jean and Rouge were having a pretty good time playing matchmakers."
"No iznot true.We trying to get you more comfortable, what with dis might being a permanent change an all we thought ya needed to go out an enjoy yourself and realize dat being a lady not so bad, non?"
"Yeah whatever, just stick to doing your own thing and stay outta my business from now on, kay?"
"Oui, whatever you want mon ami."
Logana grunted and closed her eyes. She laid back on the couch and propped her feet on the arm. She hadn't bothered to change after getting back, just dumped the shoes and let her hair down. When she opened her eyes she noticed that Remy was staring at her rather intently, with a smug looking grin on his face. "What?" she asked annoyed.
"Remy just thinking, if dese magicians do find a cure for your 'condition', de world be losin' one fine lookin' woman."
"Grrr, Go to bed Cajun, before I give you the same treatment I gave Creed earlier." Logana's words were enough to send the Cajun scampering into the next room, but in actuality she had said them more outta reflex than anything else. Truth be told, she couldn't help smiling to herself at the compliment. After all Remy knew a lot of women, a compliment from him meant something. Hell, Logana had known a lot of women herself, and she knew that if she had to be stuck in a woman's body, this wasn't a bad one to be stuck in.
"Trying to understand this is like looking at a flash." Amanda said and rested on a chair.
"Think of the magic as that flash, for a moment it leaves a bright light and you can't see for a moment, you know it's light but you still can’t see."
"This is the same, I know it's magic, but the *flash* is so strong that we can't see what is behind it, and someone this powerful... I have never heard of."
"And this all means?" Jean said knowing the answer.
"Until the *flash* dies down, we can't see the problem... and can not reverse it, if it is possible, this is more powerful than I have ever see."
"How long?" Logana said as she opened the door.
Amanda lowered her head. "Years most likely... we are not sure."
"Great." Logana muttered.
"Sorry, I don't know what to do, I have even consulted Dr. Strange, if he can't make heads or tales of the problem..."
"Basically yer telling me, I’m stuck as a woman... for years to come at the least?"
"Looks like it." Amanda said casually.
Logana only grumbled.
After three years Logana still couldn't resist admiring her own body in the mirror whenever she finished with a shower. She had enjoyed just looking at first because she figured she would be back to her own self soon and why not enjoy the show, but then when it became clear that she was gonna be stuck that way she had actually begun to think about more practical things. There was no way she could be as strong as she wanted, without looking like a WWF reject, so she opted for speed and agility. She had also become more comfortable with the way other people (men especially) looked at her. At first their prying eyes were entirely unwelcome, but she had slowly begun to enjoy the attention.
And then she had fallen in love. That was completely out of the blue and she hadn't handled it well at all in the beginning. Her body and mind were at war. She still thought of men as the same sex, and didn't want to give in to her desires. Especially not to someone whom she had known for most of her male life, but their love was so strong and genuine, they both managed to put the past behind them and give in to their hearts.
Logana sighed in just two more days she was going to be Mrs. Nick Fury. It still didn't sound right, but she was happy, truly happy and she wasn't going to let anything go wrong this time.
Polka Dot
Grabbing her bathrobe she walked out of the bathroom, drying her by now somewhat longer hair, still as uncontrollable as usual.
But she liked the long look.
She had been staying at the Mansion the last week, Jean had cornered them in to letting the X-men plan the wedding.
Fury was busy with work and was unable to get there until later that day, Shield... Logana smiled. She could imagine that by marrying the head of Shield there would be a lot of times like this, but the again it was good that they where both independent people.
Logana was in the X-men, and things would be the same on her end.
A pleasant side effect of their engagement was that it made the X-men closer to Shield.
She sat down on the sofa, stretching like a cat, life was great.
"Wolvie, are ya in here." Jubilee yelled in to the room.
"Here Darling, yer late." Logana said and looked up from the sofa, Jubilee... three years ago she thought of her as her... his daughter.
But Logan never really thought of himself as her father, now not only was she as a daughter to her, she was her adopted daughter, not that Jubilee called her mother, but she knew that Jubilee was happy that Logana was her legal guardian.
"Ya have to see this, Paige and I were looking through..." Logana growled, she know what was going on... her wedding dress.
"Darling, I thought we decided on that one Jean had picked out." Jubilee pulled out a book and started to turn the pages.
"I know, but ya have to see this." Jubilee held up the book, Logana sighed, and prepared herself to change wedding dresses... again.
Jean looked, as Jubilee was explaining how great the new dress would look, and smiled. It was still a little surreal; Logana was getting married. Someone she once found as a rather attractive man was now a woman and was getting married to Nick Fury.
She remembered when Logana had first talked to her about the fact that she was in love, they had changed so much and still everything was the same.
The time she had talked to Nick about how she had only seen Logan that happy was when he was with Mariko, she had to laugh as Nick almost swallowed his cigar. They had both had a hard time accepting what they felt.
Now they were getting married, and Jean was unsure what it was, but she could felt that there was something more going on, something Logana was hiding.
But she was not about to pry.
======
Later that night.
======
Logana was in bed, but she could not sleep, something felt wrong... she had to find out what.
She got out of bed, walked out of the bedroom. She quickly made her way to the medlab, she was drawn there somehow.
As she carefully opened the door... nothing.
She was about to turn back and walk out... she was being silly sneaking around in the middle of the night, when she caught a smell from inside the medlab.
Inside there stood a man, he appeared to be glowing... and looked puzzled at Logana.
"Ok, bub... if ye don't have one good explanation then yer about to taste adamantium." she jumped in ready to fight.
The glowing form looked at Logana.
"We have made an error." he said and another glowing form appeared, this one was a woman.
"How can this be, the bloodline is correct" She said and walked closer to Logana.
"Yes, but the Timeline may have changed." They both said in unison.
Logana only watched, uncertain of what was playing out in front of her.
"It has changed but it's still intact." the man said and walked up beside the woman.
"What are ya talking about." Logana said, ready to jump at either of them.
"Could it be?" she asked and paused. "That this was to happen?"
"Perhaps, but it will have to be his choice."
"What choice?" Logana yelled.
"To change you back." They both said, again in unison.
Logana almost fell over, change back to a man? Could it be? Something hurt inside... did she want to?
"What about..." She swallowed, laid one hand on her stomach.
Admiral
"We can't give you any time. We are sorry, but we have come to correct the mistake, if you desire this, we shall make you a man again and leave. If not, we will leave and you will not see us again. Have you made your choice?" They asked her.
Logana didn't know what to say. It was too hard. She had dreamed of this, wanted this for so long. Almost every day for the first year she would wake up and look in the mirror, hoping, no expecting to be a man again, for the nightmare to be over. It had taken so long for her to come to terms and accept herself as she was now. Logana thought about her old self. She thought about Mariko and Silver Fox. She thought about her strength.She thought about the bar brawls and the days she spent on her Harley, just riding instead of thinking.
But mostly she thought of the dead. All those people she had killed, she had always thought that there was nothing she could do to make up for those dead. The lives she saved as an X-Men both then and now, didn't make up for the lives she had taken. But now, she was carrying a new life within her. It was just a single life, but it gave her the opportunity to give back to this world at least one life, in payment for all the lives she had taken. She enjoyed seeing Jubilee grow from a child into a young woman and now she had the opportunity to see it again, only this time from the very beginning.
"I've made my choice. You can get out of here. I ain't interested in what you're offering." She told the pair. They said nothing but nodded and disappeared.
Logana left and didn't look back. She knew they were gone for good. She headed back to her room and went to bed. It was late and she had to get to sleep. Tomorrow was the rehearsal dinner and the day after that was her wedding.
