Sunday Morning
by Polka Dot

It wasn't morning yet.

Well okay it was, but the sun wasn't blazing at them both through the blinds and curtains. It was still that soft grey-blue
of just missed dawn, or maybe it was raining. It had been raining last night.

He always slept better when it rained, they both did.

Now he was awake, but what to do?

Genma wasn't awake and wouldn't be for a least an hour or two more. He woke up when the sun made it impossible to stay asleep
and even after that, he would laze about in bed for up to an hour.

It wasn't raining. He didn't hear rain, not even the dripping from the storm drains after a rain, so it was probably really
nice outside. Still cool and peaceful, free from a lot of traffic, he wanted to take a nice morning run. He wanted to move
his body.

Genma was a jounin, just like him. Genma had years of field training and experience. Some bad experiences that made him
rather clingy and difficult to maneuver away from, not that that was a bad thing.

Except when he had to really use the bathroom, like after a good night's sleep. Currently Genma's arms were locked around his
waist and Genma's cheek was pressed against his chest and the last time Raido had gotten up in the middle of the night to
take a pee, Genma had him pinned into the mattress with a kunai to his throat in a matter of seconds.

Of course Raido could move the kunai under his pillow and the shuriken behind the headboard and he could maybe reach the
handle of the longsword wedged between the mattress and the boxspring, but the rest of their nightly artillery was at the
other end of the bed, which he couldn't get to without moving Genma.

He really regretted drinking that soda half an hour before bed last night.

Really, he regretted thinking about the rain. It was just a little thought, but it wouldn't leave his head now. Why did he
think about the rain?

He looked at the clock. A whole 7 minutes had passed since he had woken up. He was definitely, complete awake now. So was his
bladder.

He was going to have to wake Genma up, gently. He hated to do it, but wetting the bed was not an option. It just wasn't
appropriate for a 27 year old. Especially not for one whose loving, but lethal boyfriend would be in the direct line of fire
so to speak.

That would be amusing for the 2 seconds before he died.

Technically peeing on Genma would be a gentle way to wake him up. Much better than a cold glass of water in the face.

Now Genma was up and looking none to pleased. Raido wasn't howling with laughter he was just sort of giggling and his
shoulders were shaking. It wasn't nice to confuse Genma this early in the morning, but Raido took his chance and dashed out
of bed and into the bathroom.

When he got out, Genma was still awake, but was now hugging his pillow tightly and shooting him a death glare (over the now
exposed kunai) that clearly said, he didn't appriciate his early morning wakeup and that Raido would be suicidal if he tried
crawling back into bed right now.

So Raido didn't, but he did make Genma a nice breakfast as a sort of psuedo-apology, then took an extra long morning run,
just in case the apology wasn't well recieved.
