Spider

"Aaaaagh!"

Justin jumped awake to the sound of Brian’s scream and the thud of his body smashing against the glass of the shower wall.

"Fuck me!" Soon followed. Justin bolted from the bed an ran into the bathroom to see what was wrong.

"Brian what’s..." Justin cut off his words when he saw a petrified Brian Kinney with his body plastered against the far wall of the shower starring eye level at a spider suspended in mid-air. Justin burst into a laughing fit that nearly took him to his knees. Of course, this did nothing to help Brian’s situation which caused him to go from petrified to totally pissed in .7 seconds. Sliding himself along the shower wall to escape the monster arachnid Brian nearly fell out the shower door.

"Would you shut the fuck up!" Brian screamed as he braced himself against the sink to gain his bearings after the sudden adrenaline rush.

"It’s just a spider." Justin spirted out between bursts of ebbing laughter.

"Just a spider? Do you see the size of that thing?" Brian pointed a shaky hand at the spider doing acrobatics in his shower.

"Shall I slay the monster for you my liege?" Mimicking a knight Justin bowed to Brian his words dripping with sarcasm.

Sneering then rolling his eyes at the young smartass. Brian’s stomped out of the bathroom not bothering to towel off. Justin could hear him rummaging in the cupboard under his sink. Then he stomped back into the bathroom carrying a large can of Raid bug killer, opened the shower door fogged the stall until both he and Justin were coughing then promptly turned glaring sidelong at Justin grabbing a towel from the rack as he stomped back to the kitchen.

Justin waited a few minutes before he crept from the bathroom not wanting to incur more of Brian’s wrath. He started feeling bad about teasing Brian. It had just been such a shock to see Brian afraid of anything especially a spider. Stopping to think about it he thought it really was a good size spider and it probably surprised Brian in the shower. He had to apologize only he knew how much Brian hated the words *I’m sorry,* but he was sorry and wanted Brian to know it.

Brian was in his bedroom dressing for work. His back turned to him.

"I’m sorry Bri.." Brian cut him off.

"I told you saying sorry is bullshit." his voice void of emotion his back still to Justin. "Have I ever laughed at you?"

Wow, Justin thought, he’s good. Now I really feel like shit.

"Well have I?" Brian turned around to face the teen as he tucked in his shirt.

"No." Justin turned his attention to the floor feeling a hell of a lot younger then 19.

"I know it seems ridiculous for a grown man to be terrified of spiders, but I am and now you know something about me no one else does."

"Not even Michael?"

"Not even Michael." Brian repeated for effect.

"Geez, I thought Michael..."

"Michael doesn’t know everything about me. And now you know something about me I’m not proud of." Again turning his back to Justin choosing a tie from his closet.

"It’s really no big deal Brian. Lots of people are afraid of spiders. My mom is...." Justin stopped talking as to not make the situation any worse.

Justin slinked up behind Brian snaking his arms around his trim waist laying his head between Brian’s shoulder blades.

"I’ll never tell anyone." Justin whispered softly.

Brian stopped knotting his tie and just stood still closing his eyes enjoying the affection. He could never stay mad at the kid for long. He was just too goddamn sweet.

"When people find out that your afraid of something they will always use it against you."

Brian turned in Justin’s arms wrapping his own around the blond’s slim waist. Justin got the feeling Brian wasn’t talking about the spider. They were silent for a moment then Justin reached up placing his hand on the back of Brian’s neck and pulled him into a deep kiss. Breaking the kiss he looked into Brian’s big hazel eyes and whispered "I would never do that to you."

Brian slapped Justin lightly on his bare ass. "Better get ready or you’ll be late for class." He starred at Justin’s perfect ass as he bounced off to the bathroom. "You do it without even knowing it." Brian said to himself.
