The Real Me

Flee in terror!! Well no, don't. Not yet, anyhow.

Yes, I figured it was about time I made one of these pages. Of course, some of you have known me since before I created Lyric, but heck, you can read this anyway. Just some info about the real person behind the character.

First off, my name's Angie, and I make my home in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Official Slurpee capital of the world, it was proven. :) I sound like a travel brochure here....moving on. I'm 20 years old, a Christian, in my third year of university and majoring in linguistics, living at home, and I have 7 "children". 5 cats and 2 budgies. And let's not forget my niece-kitty Calli and my nephew-kitties Jacob, Falcon, and Hunter! :) I adore Mexican food and wild roller coasters. You'll never get me on a ferris wheel, though. ::shudder:: My favourite sport's baseball (go Jays!), I play the flute, I love the sound of Canada geese, and I'm one of very few Winnipeggers who actually enjoy our killer winters. (Me: *jumping up and down* "Hey Mom, it's snowing! Look!" My mom: *groans* "Nooooooo...")
I'm the most obsessed Legend of Zelda fan I know, addicted to cola and the Star Wars movies (especially Phantom Menace, which I saw in theatres 12 times), and I can put both my legs behind my head and sing the alphabet backwards in English or French. Such talent, I know. :)

Appearance-wise, I'm fairly similar to Lyric. Minus the beak and feathers, of course. I'm 5'6", fair-skinned, with light brown hair and green eyes. My hair's a whole lot shorter than Lyric's, though. And it lacks the blonde streaks. I wear glasses occasionally, but usually I just leave them sitting on my desk and let things be slightly blurry. Back when I created Lyric I weighed a little more than her, but I accidentally lost some weight around Christmas '98 when I learned I've got scoliosis, so now I weigh less than her. I look considerably younger than I am. People generally think that I'm about sixteen or so. And it doesn't help that my voice sounds like a seven-year-old's. :P I finally have some pics scanned, so go here to see! :)

Personality-wise, Lyric and I have some similarities and some differences. Although I think I've been roleplaying her enough that I'm beginning to turn into her, which is really rather amusing. :) I'm generally pretty quiet, like she is, but I'm anything *but* serious and somber. That's the biggest difference between us, and it can make her a fun challenge to roleplay. I tend to laugh a lot, mostly at really stupid things. I have a very warped sense of humour. I make jokes and do fun, crazy things that Lyric would just raise an eyebrow at. I like to be alone a lot, like Lyric, and I'm usually as calm and passive as she is. But I'm not as brave as her. She'll stand up to people when necessary, whereas I just kind of cave. I lack the backbone. :) Most of her likes and dislikes are the same as my likes and dislikes....in fact, I think all of them are. And she speaks the same way I do, too. Lyric's outlook on life is a little gloomier than mine....of course, she's had a harder life than I have, so that could probably do it. Oh, and another similarity I just thought of: neither of us are really interested in dating. People tend to think I'm weird because I'm not guy-crazy, but heck, I don't need a man. If one comes along, fine, but until then I'm happy on my own. :)
