Welcome to the future of Star Trek on the web. This is an example of the ideals and beliefs of Gene Roddenberry and his Star Trek Universe, where ALL beings lived in harmony and co-operation. The original Star Trek rings came together and decided that to be split up into different rings was not following the ideals set forth by Gene Roddenberry. We decided to abandon the "need" to have our own ring and the prestige that went with it. We wanted to show the believers in the Star Trek ideals that there were people, not unlike themselves, that still believe that harmony is a very real and tangible aspect of life.
And so, the creation of the new ring. The United Federation of Trek Sites. Notice that we said "UNITED". That is what it is all about really. Uniting in a common cause, regardless of color, race, or beliefs, to create something worthwhile and meaningful. We believe that the way of life in Star Trek is not a fantasy world out of reach of humanity. It is something that we as a whole must work to achieve. That is the basis for this combined effort to bring all the Star Trek Pages into one ring. Together we can show the web and the world that working together for the common cause of freedom and equality for all, is not as hard as they would think. When you stop long enough to imagine the life they have, it makes you want it that much more. Join with us to make the world a better place to live and help promote the Star Trek ideals and beliefs.
Thanks to the input of a couple members we have changed the code to be compatible for everyone. The graphics filenames have been changed (only 2) and a new feature "on mouse over" has been added.
Thanks to Brian A. York, for the mouse over addition, and Jeremy Huddleston for the name length of our graphics, which is precisely what we are trying to do.
