Fan Pages
For the most part, I find fan pages to be far more interesting
than "official" pages in that the creators generally are doing it out
of passion for the show rather than the profit motive that the networks
display.
- The
Centre
Perri's site presents comprehensive information including
episode guide, bios on the actors, a fanfic archive, the FAQ, and
images and sounds.
- SIM
Archive
Exhaustive (but not exhausting) episode guides and reviews
in the form of "Blue Notebooks." Very nice.
- Uwe
Tächl's Pretender Site
For German speaking fans, this should be your first stop.
Offers general information, episode guides and information about the
cast. It's fun for English speaking fans too.
- Le
Caméléon
While you're checking out the European sites, try this
French language site from Switzerland. You'll find information on
all the main characters and the actors that portray them, photos and
links to other French language Pretender sites.
- Les
Mystères de Blue Cove
Can't get enough of The Pretender in French? Here's another
French Pretender site. Maybe I can overlook the Jerry Lewis thing.
- The
Pretender Centre
Take the Pretender Poll at this site by Reese. Has all
the requisite fan page stuff wrapped up in a real nice package. Lots
of photos in several galleries, a collection of fan fiction, a list
of Jarod's identities, and a Centre timeline. Beyond that, there's
Pretender Hangman, and a list of Jarod's aliases. Hey, there's even
something special for you Broots fans.
- Digital
Photo Archive
Another site by Reese. Lots of photos, even of Brigitte.
You can also see pics of her on my Strange
Luck page too! She was a nice gal on that show.
- SL-19
One of my Geocities neighbors, Toni Mandry has put together
a Pretender site. Check it out -- especially the "family trees" section.
- SL-27
Vote for your favorite character on this site. Also has
archives of sounds and pictures as well as a link list. One of my
Geocities neighbors.
- The
Pretender
Over on Tripod, this site has all the right stuff wrapped
up in a nice looking package. Go on, take a look at it.
- Jeremy's
Ultimate Pretender Homepage
Jeremy Pratte's site has links, lots of pictures (not
to mention a few graphics from my site), and a nice, thorough episode
guide. Check it out. And try out the Pretender "mad -libs" game. P.S.
Better have a level-4 browser to visit this site.
- Miss
Parker's Safe Haven
One of my Geocities neighbors, Kelly, has a site that
focuses on our favorite femme fatale, Miss Parker. Go check it out.
- Miss
Parker's Sweet Rewards
There's something slightly oxymoronic about the title,
but Wendy and Lydia have amassed a "sweet" collection of well-chosen
sound-bytes along with the other standard website goodies. Check it
out!
- Pakif's
Centre Database
Need to get some background information on one of the
characters in the show? Here's a good place to start
- Brigitte's
Secrets
Brigitte. Also known as Blondie or 'Zheet. Here's the
one spot on the 'net where you can find out a little more about one
of the newest members of the Pretender universe.
- Jenny's
Pretender Page
If the URL is any indicator, this one hails out of Sweden.
Extensive photo archives of cast and characters, and a fun "quotes"
section.
Official Page
- The
Pretender on TNT
TNT has picked up the Pretender's first four seasons
and is running it weeknights and weekends. That makes this the new
"official" website. Go here to check the schedule for your
favorite episodes. A little warning, though --- it's a slow loader.
- Imagiquest
Craig Van Sickle and Steven Long Mitchell, the creators
of THE PRETENDER have relaunched their own Web site.
Fan Club/Actor
Pages
You can get information on the actors here. Take a look
at these sites.
- Michael
T. Weiss Fan Club
On the show he's been everything from a doctor to a test
pilot. Here you'll discover Weiss has played a doctor on TV before,
but you can also find out what else he's played in his acting career.
Includes a Pretender page.
- The
"Extremely Unofficial Michael T. Weiss Page
Tonia Lorenz is apparently a big fan of MTW. Includes
Pretender links.
- The
Michael T. Weiss Freeze-Frame Album
Kelly is a big fan of MTW as well. Includes lots of photos,
talk show pictures and transcripts, and Pretender links.
- Sweet
Tooth's Unofficial Michael T. Weiss site
Even though it's got a German URL, it's in English and
has lots of information and photos.
- Jon
Gries
The last name rhymes with "fries." Just one
of the factoids you'll learn on this site about Jon.
- Andrea
Parker Fanpage
"Plankton" has put together an extensive
fan site devoted to Andrea Parker. It's in German, but the gallery
alone is worth the visit.
- The
Official Patrick Bauchau Site
You'll find information on Patrick Bauchau and his career
on Deb Stewarts page. Currently there are biography and filmography
pages, as well as a page dedicated to The Pretender. Look for sounds
and photos in the future.
- Ryan
Merriman (Young Jarod)
If you watch much
TV or go to the occasional movie, you already know that this kid's
getting plenty of work.
- Internet
Movie Database
Take good notes while the credits roll and do a search
here on those minor recurring characters and weekly guest stars.
Want
me to include your site on this jumplist? Send the URL along
with your request to: steffend@uwstout.edu
With cancellation of the series, the Pretender website are dropping
like flies. If you find that any of the links above are "404's,"
I'd appreciate a report so I can drop it myself.
