Michael Owen has vowed to continue his terror campaign against defenders.
At 18, but with a maturity of a footballer 10 years older, Owen has put World Cup glory behind him and focused on the next
job in hand - Liverpool's title bid.
Talk of vast wealth from commercial activities and being the next Ronaldo, just wash over the clean-cut kid.
Owen-mania will continue to sweep the country, even more so when the Premiership starts this weekend.
But he said: "I don't really interest myself too much in the commercial side of things. I have other people doing that side of
the work for me.
"I will concentrate on my football. That is what I am paid to do and that is what I want to do. I don't want to be messing around
with commercial things."
He handled the spotlight during the pre-season Carlsberg tournament in Dublin with immense professionalism.
But he knows it is his football that has got him to this elevated level, and winning something with Liverpool is the next step.
He said: "My second full season is coming up and the first one wasn't as successful as it could have been. I aim to change that.
"Everyone in the team wants to win things and that means the title."
