This is the important stuff, right? The music is really what its all about. And, I FINALLY have sound clips.

Lucretia MacEvil (Blood, Sweat and Tears)
Stress
G.E.D. in Criminal Activity

We're heavily influenced by jazz and rock. We like solos (and not just guitar solos...) so we have alot of them. Our best song has no vocals. It just a bunch of instrumental stuff that people seem to like.
As far as songs, we have two covers we do on a regular basis, "Lucretia MacEvil" by Blood, Sweat and Tears and "Take it off Him and Put it On Me" by Buddy Miles. We've also been known to cover "Kinder Words" (Bosstones), "Bad Town" (Op Ivy), "Green Eyed Lady" (Sugarloaf) and "Watermelon Man" (Herbie Hancock). With the exception of the last song, we don't much enjoy these covers because we don't do them all that well and therefore they will (hopefully) never be played again.
We have 10 solid originals which we play at most every show. The newest of these are The Philly Phatty Funk Star Jam... I think the title says it all. Also, From Rachel's Window, The Decent Alcoholic and Back to Oakley (our voyage into the realm of rap) are recent additions to our set list. We've also started playing Hava Nagila, the Jewish traditional song, just 'cause its such fun.
One of the newest (also one of the best) is "Miss Princess Cute." It's a rock-ballad kinda thing, and we like it lots. This is where Andrew gets to show off. It's tied with "Envy" for the title of our "poppiest song." In the words of Chris, "This next song is Envy... that we wrote... and it's about envy. Alright." Pretty self explanatory. This song has no vocals in the chorus, because we couldn't find anything that worked with the phat-ass horn riff. Keeping with the emotional theme, our loudest, most hard-edged song is, by far, "Stress." It's alot of distortion, yelling and more cool horn stuff. Our other "distortion song" is "The Flowers and The Butterfiles." This was our first attempt at loud and obnoxious. Whwn we announced this song at Bogart's HSBC, someone in the crowd screamed "Get off the stage, you fucking hippies!!!" Don't be misled by the title. This is NOT hippie music.
Another relatively recent song, "GED in Criminal Activity," is a simple 12 bar blues, written and sung by Andy Antle. It's a great song, and easier than hell. It's real catchy though, and it makes people laugh.
This brings us to "The Latex Penguin." It's practically our theme song. It's long, but we usually manage to keep it from being boring. We borrow segments from various theme songs for this song to keep things interesting. About three minutes into the song, it breaks into the now infamous solo section. In addition to featuring solos by Andy, Ben, myself and Bennett, this is where we dance... it's almost scary. If you haven't seen The Official White Boy Dance, you haven't lived.
So, if you come to a show, this is what you'll likely hear, and possibly in an order similar to this:
Take it Off Him and Put it On Me
Decent Alcoholic
Stress
Philly Phatty Funk Star Jam
Miss Princess Cute
Back to Oakley
GED in Criminal Activity
From Rachel's Window
The Flowers and The Butterflies
Have Nagila
Envy
Lucretia MacEvil
Latex Penguin
And most of this has been caught on tape... that's right, Agent Eight, our first album, is now available. Click here for more info.
What we haven't recorded yet will probably be recorded this summer on a 5 or 6 song CD EP, tentatively titled... nope, i lied. We have no idea what we're calling it yet. And we've recently decided that this recording may not happen at all...
