METHODS
While the biomedical profession may not regard complementary medical methods highly as a general rule some disciplines that have traditionally been labelled as 'quackery', such as acupuncture, have been incorporated into biomedical practice and gained respectability within that profession. Other disciplines such as chiropractic and homeopathy have been established in their own right for a long time and have a substantial following. The nursing profession has embraced Therapeutic Touch, especially in the USA, and in the UK spiritual healing has gained a substantial following. A fair body of research has been compiled within these complementary medical practices and through this page you can access links that take you to sites that introduce you to some of these practices. What you do with the information obtained is solely up to you.
