Scientific Evaluation

Year  1973

In cooperation with  Litbang Akabri Udara (R&D dept. of Air Force) and School of Medicine of Gajah Mada University in Yogyakarta, we do research to compare the physical fitness result from Merpati Putih's  exercise  with the aerobic method of  DR. Cooper.

Objects :
- 20 cadets are trained with DR. Cooper's method.
- 20 cadets are trained with Merpati Putih's method.

Methods of valuation :
- DR. Cooper's valuation : to evaluate aerobics capacity i.e. respiration system and cardiovascular.
- Aerobics  dan   Margarics : to evaluate the ability of muscles to work anerobics.
- To measure   Timed Vital Capacity  to determine the flexibility of lungs' tissues.

Conclusion :
1. Cadets which are trained with Merpati Putih methods can match with cadets trained with DR. Cooper's method.

2. Time needed to run 1,600 meter and Timed Vital Capacity  between two groups are not different.

3. From this observation, it can be concluded that Merpati Putih's method has no bad effect on our health and also can match with other scientific methods.

 4. The advantage of Merpati Putih exercises is to generate inner power that can be applied to many aspects.

This research is lead by Prof. DR.  Achmad Muhammad from School of Medicine of Gajah Mada University.

Year 1983,

In cooperation with  Pusat  Jasmani  Militer  Komando  Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Latihan TNI AD (Army center of body training and development), we did research about Merpati Putih breathing techniques in connection with endurance and conduit of power.

Objects :
Army troops which  are trained with Merpati Putih method for a year.

Conclusion :
1.Merpati Putih improves Army physical performance, therefore it should be socialized in other military groups.

2. MP's methods are economic, efficient, effective, and low cost.

Year 1984,

In cooperation with Pertamina Hospital in Jakarta, we do research about the benefit of Merpati Putih to improve alertness physically or mentally.

Objects :
 - 5  women  between 25 - 35 years old.
 - 19 men between  29 - 42 years old

Conclusion :
1. All Physiologic functions show improvements, except for reaction time and  critical blink frequency .

2. Merpati Putih exercises can increase the strength of muscles, improve MBC ( Maximum Breathing Capacity), VC (Vital Capacity) and FEV (Forced Exhalation Velocity).

Year 1985,

In cooperation with Infantry Battalion  203/Arya Kamuning.

Objects :
All troops in Infantry Battalion   203/Arya  Kamuning  are trained with Merpati Putih  method for 5 months, three times a week,  90 minutes each.

Conclusion :
1. The physical fitness is increase ;
2. Personal skill is also improved. It's proved in 1985 in National Battalion Contest in which Infantry Battalion 203 is the first winner and can make new record.

Year 1987

In cooperation with Yayasan Jantung Sehat  (Healty Heart Foundation) and   Harapan Kita Heart Hospital  in Jakarta. The research is led by Dr. Dede Kuswara

Objects :
- 2  Basic II students, up to 60 years old
- 2 Converse I student, between  40 - 55 years old
- 2 Converse II students, between 30 - 40 years old

Conclusion :
1. Improvement in physical fitness
2. Increase physical recovery.

Year 1990 - up to now

In cooperation Medical School of Indonesia University and ISTN in Jakarta, we do research about explosive power of Merpati Putih.
