Female Head
"the objective in this piece was to create a head using plaster and any other materials we could find. i made a pedestal with an upward projecting piece of wood which inserts into the base of the head. Underneath the plaster head are a pair of x-shaped pieces which hold a spherical grid created from chicken wire. from there, i built up the face, similar to how an illustrator draws - from simple shapes and forms to the actual subject."

Untitled
"this was an exploration in creating plaster casts. my first intention was to capture the act of victory in an arm wrestling match. i pushed it further by creating several hand gestures and fusing them together like a surrealist subject and this was the outcome."

Anthony
"this is entitled "anthony" after my cousin, who's face i casted it from. it was my final project in the class. we were to create a piece using plaster casts, choose a place for it anywhere in the art building and post it there. it is made up of three pieces. i was interested in having the sculpture come out towards the viewer, so i used string in order to get that extension away from the wall."
